The verb "lavished" (dedōken) is in the perfect tense, indicating a past action with continuing results. This love has been poured out, and it continues to flow abundantly. It speaks of generosity beyond measure. It's a love that is extravagant, overflowing, and unrestrained.
Knowing who your Father is and understanding Lavished Love
11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
List out all the ways the Lord has lavished His love on you as one of His children.
Lavished Love: We are heirs.
16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Lavished Love: We will inherit eternal salvation
7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
What will heaven be like? No more tears, pain, suffering. Fully healed.
Lavished Love: He Gave us a new identity. Our most fundamental identity is not defined by our profession, our past, our failures, or our successes, but by our relationship as children of God.
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
I changed for the better.
Lavished Love: Security in Relationship: As children, we have a secure, unbreakable bond with God. Our position is not precarious but guaranteed by His love.

8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Lavished Love: Earthly father returned, reconciled, salvation, eternal life, now 30 years later now see it as God’s Lavish Love gift to me.
32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
