Call to Worship

O Yahweh,
May Your name be praised in our congregation this day. May You be exalted as we lift our voices together in praise. May You be exalted as we hear from Your Word. May You be exalted in our actions and our attitudes as we seek to worship You in spirit and in truth.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Pastoral Prayer

O Yahweh,
You are our refuge. You are our rock and our fortress. For Your name’s sake we pray that You will lead us and guide us. We commit Your church and the individuals of this assembly into Your loving care.
Lord, I pray for any among us who are in distress, that You be gracious to them. May they look to You for wisdom to lead them through their times of trial.
Father, we are so glad to be able to call You our Father since You have adopted us into Your family. Lord, I bring before You those among us who are hurting. I pray for Michelle Allen who is having difficulty with her knee — I pray that You would strengthen and sustain her. I pray for Lloyd and the constant pain that he is in — may You provided seasons of relief. I pray for Sally who is having surgery to remove kidney stones — I pray that you would skillfully guide the hands of the surgeon, and that she would be able to recover quickly. I pray for Keith who has been in the hospital because of having a heart attack — may You provide for a quick recovery for him, and strengthen Barb as she ministers to him. Lord, I pray for those who have lost loved ones recently — I think of Meeghan, Brain, and Gary and their families — I pray that You would comfort them in the way that only You can.
Lord, I pray for this assembly — I pray that we would be obedient to Your directives and to Your will. I pray that we would be quick to give You the glory in all things. I pray that we would fully put our trust in You. I pray that we would recognize Your sovereignty in all things. And I pray that we will bless forever and ever.
In Jesus’ blessed name. Amen.
