Friends, hear the Word of God: “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.” (Psalm 139:14, NKJV).
God did not make a mistake when He made you. You were created with value, with purpose, with dignity. You are not an accident—you are God’s creation, made in His image (Genesis 1:27).
But listen carefully—though God made us wonderfully, sin has corrupted all of us. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” That means me, that means you, that means everyone here today.
And God is a just Judge. He cannot overlook sin. Romans 6:23 declares, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Sin brings death. Sin brings judgment. And no matter how we try to celebrate it or excuse it, God’s Word does not change.
But praise God—He has given us hope! John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into this world, lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day. He is alive, and He offers forgiveness to all who will repent and believe in Him.
Some of you may say, “Preacher, I can’t change. This is who I am.” But listen to what God has already done: “And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:11).
Did you hear that? Such were some of you. God has saved liars, drunkards, adulterers, homosexuals, thieves, and proud men and women—and He can save you today.
Jesus says in Matthew 11:28: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Friend, true rest isn’t found in pride, in parades, or in redefining ourselves. True rest is found in Jesus Christ. He calls you today: repent, believe the gospel, and be saved.
God doesn’t make mistakes in how He created you—but sin has twisted us all. The good news is that Jesus can wash you, restore you, and give you new life.
So I plead with you—don’t leave this place hardened in sin. Cry out to Christ. Trust Him today. “Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.” (Isaiah 55:6).
Turn to Jesus—and live.
