Daily Quiet Time
We are talking about quiet times and I think for some of us we think of we are to young to start those or that is an adult thing
Some of you have already made the best decision and most important decision in your entire life so you are not to young
12 Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
even as you are young you can still be an example of how to walk with Christ in your daily life
Last week we talked about reading your Bibles
How we must be reading out Bibles
4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’ ”
Why do we need to read out Bibles?
Who has been reading their Bibles?
Who is reading John?
So if part of a quiet time is reading God’s word
Reading God’s letter to you and I
What is another part of a quiet time?
PRAYER
What is Prayer?
How often should be pray?
17 pray without ceasing;
So if we are to pray all the time
What do we pray about?
Then maybe how do we pray?
Maybe you have asked that question.
9 “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 ‘Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. 11 ‘Give us this day our daily bread. 12 ‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’
This is so much a prayer to pray that is recited if that makes sense

Adoration - calling God by His proper name, praise God because He is God
1 Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse. 2 Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. 3 Praise Him with trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre. 4 Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals. 6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!
Confession - confess our sins, bring the junk in our lives to life
16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
Thanksgiving - Thank God for the blessings, thank God for the grace and mercy in our lives, thank God for the stuff
18 in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Supplication - Lift up others, lift up the needs of other people, to bring other people before the throne of God
1 First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
So as we build onto our quiet time we are to be praying as well as reading our Bibles
As you read, then either before or after you should spend sometime praying

Confession
Thanksgiving
Supplication
