When life places us in discomfort, prayer places us in God’s presence

Prayer is not bound by location or situation

Pray in Places of Danger

Daniel 6:10 ESV
10 When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.
Daniel prayed in spite of danger it could bring
His courage in prayer carried him through the lions’ den

God is greater than any threat!

Pray in Depths of Despair

Jonah 2:1–2 ESV
1 Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish, 2 saying, “I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice.

Prayer brings Restoration

You are never so deep in despair that God cannot hear your prayers

Pray in the Darkness of the Valley

Psalm 23:4 ESV
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
We can be confident in the fact that God is always there...

God is ALWAYS there!

Pray in dark times because God’s presence brings light

Pray in the Drought of Lack

Habakkuk 3:17–19 ESV
17 Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, 18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. 19 God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places. To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments.

Our joy is rooted in God, not our circumstances

Rejoice in the Giver, not the gifts

Prayer changes us more than it changes the place we are in

Let prayer become your comfort, no matter where you are
