The purpose of the night: Join together in the Vision of Jesus for our city. our kingdom builders group is such a special group because were here because we believe were supposed to be here
A few things i would love to see happen tonie
**We open the word and receive it together
**That we get inspired around the vision of the house ahead of what is a critical time for us as a church
**Give you a quick update —- make room “WHAT WE’VE ACCOMPLISHED SO FAR”**
**Pray specifically over YOUR YES… and THOSE THAT ARE STILL TO SAY YES (this will make more sense as we delve in)
4 Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word. 5 Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ. 6 And the crowds with one accord paid attention to what was being said by Philip, when they heard him and saw the signs that he did. 7 For unclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many who had them, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. 8 So there was much joy in that city.
I would love to consider the power and the potential of s single person, or indeed a family, and what that YES represents in the kingdom of God.
When i say yes what am i really talking about?
Yes is the salvation acceptance of CHRIST? yes thats an important one - But what i am specifically getting at today is the threshold moment in the life of a believer where they go “ALL IN” on leveraging all that they have and what their life represents to build what it is that God is building.
Are you all in? are you across the line yet?
This isnt a club of obligation or a social thing - This is a devotion to JESUS thing.
I was asked the question once “why do you do all that” (meaning - Why do so much for church and God and not build your own thing)
The question was answered in this way:
i realzed the significance of my YES?
When i understand my yes. alot of the other things in my life take hold in their meaning.
a YES TO GOD … is a NO to the WORLD. THE DEVIL and His schemes…. And really —whatever opposes the purposes of God in this world. to see the kingdom advnace. to take ground. thats what Make Room is in our context here at church in our lifetime.
“its not everyday you get to be able to build something that will outlive you” - Larry Durden MR Board
But what does a yes to GOD. an IM ALL IN HEART DO?
Three things i know it does
1.YOUR YES CHANGES YOU
1.YOUR YES CHANGES YOU
It turns you into something you may not be quite ready for or even expect!
A Christ follower: a Jesus Person: a God-Squadder: a Bible Basher: A believer
…. a leader in the church?
(many of us tonite can testify to what we are now becayse of What God did with us when we said YES)
I mean take a step back in my life like i have mine ( 24 years later)
Ive been changed from a pagan little self absorbed
Philip ……Changed him into the evangelist we read about in our bibles
Acts 8:4–5 “4 Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word. 5 Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ.”
So He went. He Did.. and God uses him.
And an angel tells him to do something incredible strange:
26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Rise and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is a desert place. 27 And he rose and went. And there was an Ethiopian, a eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure. He had come to Jerusalem to worship 28 and was returning, seated in his chariot, and he was reading the prophet Isaiah. 29 And the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.” 30 So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” 31 And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. 32 Now the passage of the Scripture that he was reading was this: “Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he opens not his mouth. 33 In his humiliation justice was denied him. Who can describe his generation? For his life is taken away from the earth.” 34 And the eunuch said to Philip, “About whom, I ask you, does the prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?” 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus. 36 And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?” 38 And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. 39 And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, and went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through he preached the gospel to all the towns until he came to Caesarea.

A yes to JESUS (surrender, Obedience, Contentment, Forgiven, Generous)
2.YOUR YES CHANGES THOSE AROUND YOU
2.YOUR YES CHANGES THOSE AROUND YOU
(generations, a city, spiritual sons and daughters)
8 So there was much joy in that city.
This is what happens on a personal level that makes us even more excited about the yes. Yes to God, now a YES thats affected us personally. Sanctification is a process lifelong that works its way through our whole lives and as that happens - this begins to affect others - We start to live our BEST LIFE in the viewpoint of some of our closest people (think friends, family, coworkers, kids) and our change becomes apparent to them.
Your YES Changes YOU.
But it IMPACTS OTHERS AS WELL.
Maybe your wondering how big a YES have to be?
Well think about what we see in the feeding of the five thousand.
A little boy offers up his lunch:
1 After this Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. 2 And a large crowd was following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing on the sick. 3 Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat down with his disciples. 4 Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand. 5 Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?” 6 He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do. 7 Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little.” 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him, 9 “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?” 10 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number. 11 Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.” 13 So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten. 14 When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, “This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!”
What impact can a yes have? in the hands of almighty GOD its truly limitless!
