Living as Students of the King (Students of the King)

Morning everybody. You're a lovely bunch of people. I've never met some of you before, but I still say you're lovely. I don't know you but God knows you go to loves you. He's here for a purpose and we're here for a purpose and that's we got the round. He's would he wants to speak to us? We got two A's and one tongue, we should listen more than we talked, you know, that one. A theme for this month is living as students of the king. I'm not talking about King Charles, by the way. What's it means to be a student, some students in the room, some people are coming back to University. People may be the first time in University. It's freshers week, this week. Are you ready? Egg and cheese ready? But you know what? It's all just about attending church doesn't make you a Christian. Attending a Bible study, doesn't make you a Christian, putting your trust in Jesus as your savior, your Rabbi, your teacher, your king. Is what makes us Christians as followers of Christ. That's what we say when we say, we Christians with followers of Christ Jesus, Jesus life of learning of training, and imitating him. Please, if you do have a Bible reading plan, I'm just do it out of habit, do it cuz you want to learn something. It's a great looking at your Bible, reading, plan or something. There's something we don't see so much these days and we need to be dependent on the father. A curriculum is not only what Jesus told, but how he lived and beliefs So the word of God's the ways of Jesus and the spirit of God, cuz Jesus was crucified, he was crucified on the cross and he died. The Son of God died, and he was better than to tell him, we know the story because we have to complete story. The disciples did.

Cuz I went to the tomb and said, where is he related? Who is taking him away? The stone of being rolled away because Jesus is risen, he is not had the angel said he is not, here he is risen. If we going to be teachers, if we got any tools, then we also need to put those things into practice. When students put things into practice, we become apprentices knowledge. Without practice isn't discipleship. Jesus said in Matthew, 7:24. That for everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Put them into practice otherwise, it's just Theory. In the Bible is not a book of fairy. The Bible is a book of practice, students of the king, learn by doing, We learn by Tina. I need to be learned by doing and we learning community, but we learned through obedience, even when it costs us An apprentice will practice their trade. We'll put our hands to work, the king, trains Us in the workshop, in the workplace of life in the family, in the marketplace, with strangers of the king. Our goal is to become more like our teacher.

Do we look more like Jesus today than we did yesterday?

I don't know. What do you feel comfortable with this kind of image? But you probably had people say to you at some point in your life. You look just like your mom. You look just like you will. Now, you got a good relationship with your Dad. That's great. I didn't have a good relationship with my dad father. Father, father, father for many, many years and I remember, one day, I did this, I didn't wear glasses in a particular point. I rub my nose like this. A my auntie said to me, you, you do that. Just like your father did. I would know. I didn't know I didn't. But, you know. What are reconciled with my father? I was actually at my Dad's second wedding when he got married to my stepmom, and I had the privilege of speaking at his wedding. We were reconciled guarded repaired, our relationship. The goal of the student is to be like the father. I am proud to say I'm a bit like my dad. I'm proud sometimes when he's cuz my heart has been changed. I'm one of the things. When people say to use your little bit more, it's something of God in you or what makes you do. That have you been off this week? When somebody says, how can you, how can you be full of joy at this moment? You just say about because God has changed my life. Students of the king say, I want to be more like Jesus. The number one state teachable number to make space for. He's would personally and corporately is a choice. That's open scripture. Regular place out loud. We read it on a regular basis in our heads. But, you know what, there's a big difference between when we think something, and when we say something, So for example, if I said, Do you believe me some of you will know that me. Some of you won't move your Heights of toilet. Some of you will say, yes, want to do my time. Do you know what? We speak it out. We've committed ourselves. Recite something. When you speak it. If you fight, if you don't, just think it in your head. You speak it out unless you speak it out. You commit yourself to something. Let me encourage you, what you might say, why would I do this? I didn't charge you once in awhile. Maybe not every day. But once in awhile, read scripture out loud, when you're the only person in the room, so it won't matter. If you can't pronounce one of those strange names or cities, does it matter? Do you know what, speaking the word out makes a difference? It's a spiritual statement in a spiritual truth. So let's not just read the word and get it into a Heights. Let's speak it out and declare and Proclaim it together. Let's listen to the spirit number 3, listen to the spirit in decisions, you make a big decision.

Help me. Help me to be clear in this decision to die. Help me to know what to say, what to do. I'm doing outside every morning. Jesus, what should I wear today? Judy. I wish you sometimes I would do that. Because sometimes I'll put on a stray strange combination for those who go with my shirts. Sometimes my shirt is not good with my trousers.
