Worldview

Picture - how vs Character of God

Boundaries - Distinction between 2 bodies of water

Things (like water) that scare us that don’t scare God (overwhelming to us not God)
Overwhelming times where we need God to define the space. This is loving
Things beyond us
Control/power over the boundaries is the difference
God names these - so it’s his to control
There are things in your life that you can control and things only he can control.
Space and time for him
Relationships between people

Why is good missing?

because it’s not done
God’s timing is not our timing.
Hurry up and wait
Wait and then bang bang.

V8

God names the land.

Every sort of seed-bearing plant and trees.

God loves variety and consistency

Beauty, Order, Consistency
A maple tree is always a maple tree
Rows of pine trees
Important because Red Woods dropping counts would be problem.
Red wood - 380 feet
Coconut = 3 pounds
over 2,000 pounds of impact force
Consistency
When we see nature it screams the character of God.
The various stories in the room don’t scare Him. He will constantly work in any echo system.

Sustainability

God is active but not a control freak

God saw that it was Good

God will see it to completion

Here is what it looks like for God to create space:

Boundaries
The overwhelming this that scare us can be set controlled by God - holy space
God’s Timing is God’s timing
He will call it good when it is
If you are going through long seasons know that He will not be rushed. Day 2 is not good, but Day 3 has 2 goods.
God love variety and consistency
Variety is beautiful
Consistence shows order and power
Sustainability
God is active without being a control freak. - delegated authority
Sit by water this summer - see trees and plants and be reminded of the character of God.
