Understanding
I know we have been going through Hebrews, and I was looking forward to our next passage, however, in light of what happened this past week, I felt that God would have me put that off for one week and address the evil that we are seeing take place in America today.
As the scenes played out this week. I saw the video. Something that on one hand i wish I never seen, but on the other hand, seeing it brought me to the realization of how evil and nasty this world really is. I believe Franklin Graham said it best when he said, “The devil over played his hand.”
As awful as it was, it has woken a lot of Christians up to the reality that we are truly fighting a spiritual war. And it may appear that the dark side is winning. We must go to scripture for the real truth and clarity.
As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.
“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Jesus perfectly describes what we are seeing.
God used Charlie to go directly to the front lines of the spiritual battle for the hearts and minds of our children. Time after time we hear stories of Strong conservative Christian families sending their child off to college only for their child to return almost unrecognizable from a spiritual perspective because they have been indoctrinated by the evil breeding ground our universities and public schools have become. Satan has even infiltrated the so-called Christian schools as well. This is the front lines of this spiritual battle being waged on this earth. Charlie went straight to the front lines, and in love, listened but also spoke the absolute truth of God’s word to offset the talking points of the devil. He encourage the students to sound reasoning, and to start once again thinking for themselves. Encouraged them to seek after the Savior he so passionately defended and praised.
The evil mainstream media likes to label Charlie as a political activist. He was a Christian activist. He was a true Christian on a mission to as his wife said, “Make heaven crowded.” The reason politics are thrown in there is because today’s politics and policies come from the left, it is the tool to which the indoctrination is taking place and they come directly from Satan. He was not assassinated because of His politics. He was assassinated because he spoke the truth of God’s word, shared the true gospel and the students were listening and being changed. Satan had to take him out.

Charlie Kirk was a Martyr and don’t let anyone tell you differently.
Everyone in our household was affected. We mourn and are shocked because the Holy Spirit ties us to Charlie. Those who felt nothing, may want to check your salvation and make sure that the Holy Spirit lives in you.
What hit me hard was the fact that i began to question my commitment to Christ. Think about it, when I speak on behalf of God and the gospel, does Satan fear that people will listen? Doe Satan fear me enough that he has to decide that I have got to go because I am ruining his plans? Can you image what this world would look like if true Christians took the battle to the enemy instead of waiting for the enemy to come to us? We have spent too much time living in our own happy little bubble while the world around us is decaying and dying spiritually. The church, you and I must once again be relevant and take the fight to the enemy. We must become a problem for the devil, so much so that he fears us. Think about it, the demons shutter at the name of Jesus. If Jesus truly has control over our lives, why aren’t the demons trebling over us? Our faith is weak.
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. Whoever hates me hates my Father also. If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.’
“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.
And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”
But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.
2 Timothy 4:1–5 “I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”
We have been called into spiritual battle. The old song, “Onward Christian Soldiers” as a battle cry has never been more true than now. We are meant for battle, not draft dodging.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
John the Baptist’s warning is just as relevant today.
Matthew 3:2–3 ““Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah when he said, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make his paths straight.’ ””
Matthew 3:12 “His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.””
I believe what we witnessed, God allowed, as He is beginning to separate the wheat from the chaff. The evil is exposing itself for what it really is. Their spirit and our Spirit are not the same.
As gruesome as it was, there are now students picking up the bible for the first time to figure out exactly why Charlie Kirk was willing to put himself out there for the sake of Jesus. There is true repentance taking place because of the death of this saint.
Let me ask you, Are you willing to lay down your life for the sake of Christ? And what would it take to get you there? He laid down His for you.
Today is the day to repent and prepare for the Lord, because the day of the Lord is at hand.
Let’s stand for prayer.
