Made for More

God gives us Purpose through him

We are not meant to live in the shadow of death, shame, or regret. God has called us by name, raised us to new life, and given us a purpose that transcends our past. This sermon is a call to step out of the grave and into grace.

The song Made for More is a song that serves as a reminder that God has purpose for my life. Some of you guys know my testamonay and I won’t go in to great detail but I lived a life far from God. That was until He kept me from going to prison. That was enough I started to change my life around but I was still tending the grave of shame and regret for the things I had done in the past. But God had other plans and continues to help me keep that buried sure sometimes I try and go dig it back up but the Lord is always there filling it right back up.

I wasn’t made to be tending a grave- man that is a powerful line it reminds me that when we accept the Lord we are made new born again we put our old selves to death. This is something I struggled with still things I’ve done in the past it often makes me feel unusable in God’s kingdom. We know that’s not true though as Doug often reminds us “HE doesn’t call the qualified He qualify the call” We all have a purpose in God’s kingdom.
