Romans 12:14-18

There has been a lot of tragedy on the news lately. Multiple school shootings, The stabbing on the bus in north corlina It was the anaversy of 9/11. And the assassination of Charlie Krik.

Charlies death hit pretty close. Charlee has a pretty big influence on Me and my generation (Gen Z) but I'm the youth leader at my church and the students I teach and meteor He also has a big infuses on them as well if not more. And this really effected them.

This is probably going to be my and there generations “were were you moment.” similar to 9/11 and JFK MLK I will never forget were I was when it happened.

There has been a of discussion from christans and constatives. On moving forward with his death. And A lot are saying its over the time for descution is over we trird talking it out and thats over and part of that may be true

But We need to look at the bible for how we respond.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

This is how we respond. there are things we need to do. There are thing we do that is not listed in Romans 12,

Like pray. Pray for Charlies family. for the victims families of the school shootings, all the tragedies. Pray for them for us and for America.

The other thing we do and is take from Romans 12 is Bless those who persecute us, not cursing them and to not repay evil with more evil. live peaceably with all

If we fight evil with evil we are just as bad as them. that's why we do as verse 16 says Live in harmony with each other.

We must to not fight evil with evil so we remain a witness to the lord. God has mad us diffent from the world we live in the world but do not act like the world.

I so glad that has been the response to his death. It not riot and burn city's to the ground. insteand it has been Public group prayers and has candle light virgules.

That dose not mean we don't defend ourselves or act like it did not happen. and dose not mean we don't fight for a better America. But we don't repay evil with more evil. Thats what they do not us/

Also form Romans 12 we weep with those who weep. I greave not because Charlee dose not excites anymore. He is more alive then anyone of us have ever been.

I greave and we should weep because a wife dose not have a husband and children who a so young they cant grasp the conseped of there father being killed, no longer have there father with them and will grow up him.

His loved ones are weeping and we weep with them

We also weep with those who weep because We have a sympathetic savior. Jesus was full God but also full man and he exercised things we expense.

Jesus cried at the grave of a loved one. He knows what that feels like and Charles family were followers of Jesus and Jesus is confuting them right know.

The last way we resound is this: The point of them killing Charlee was to silence him, silence us and keep living in fear. We let them win if we do.

Charlee was know for going on collage capases and challenging what people believed and half of turning Point USA was Turning Point faith dedicated to spreading the message of Jesus in America, Charliw regularly talked about Jesus at his open mic debates.

He was killed on a collage campus doing just that. We are about to go to a collage campus on our next distabution.

If we don't go do that because of what happened to Charlie we let them win. and let his death go invain

And forget the root cause of Charlie's assassination the school shootings, 9/11 the stabbings.

The root cause is we live in a fallin sinful world, when you have an abuses of God in your life the fruits will show it.

And Charlies association and all those tragedy's are the fruits of God absent in peoples lives.

The answers is Jesus. The only answer is Jesus and we have a job to do, that's the spread the message of Jesus and that's what were doing at the collage campus.

We are giving people Gods Living word that changes lives and opening up dialogue to lead people to Christ.

Charles Kriks death has reminded me why I became a giddian, that the world so despretly needs Jesus and I pray we all never forgot why we do what we do.

If we go to the collage and someone gets saved its all worth it and will do what verse 15 says to do Rejoice with those who rejoice There is nothing more gather to rejice over then someone getting saved.
