Col 2:1-7. Dan Kroon. To be 'in Christ' and have 'Christ in you', as we considered last week, is not just an individual thing. It’s not just 'me and Jesus'. It’s a communal thing. A thing for the whole church. In chapter 2, as Paul continues his personal and passionate encouragement of the Colossian church, he expands on his purpose to include 'unity in Christ'. Unity that is based on love and truth – which are both about Jesus. Why? Because recognising we are 'in Christ' together is necessary for our protection in Christ and for our ongoing walk in Christ. If we want to be built-up in the one we are rooted in, we need to do so as a community.
