In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.    -Matthew 6:9-13
Missionary statesman Hudson Taylor had complete trust in God's faithfulness. In his journal he wrote:
"Our heavenly Father is a very experienced One. He knows very well that His children wake up with a good appetite every morning... He sustained 3 million Israelites in the wilderness for 40 years. We do not expect He will send 3 million missionaries to China; but if He did, He would have ample means to sustain them all... Depend on it, God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply."

1. We are called to share in each other’s troubles

Galatians 6:2 “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

2. It is better to give than receive

Acts 20:35 “In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ””

3. Sometimes we are called to give even when we do not understand why

Psalm 147:5 “Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.”

4. Faithful, obedient giving leads to needs being met

Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

a. God is personally invested

b. His riches are unmatched

5. We give all for the Glory of God

1 Corinthians 10:31 “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
Ephesians 3:20–21 “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
