Bishops Instructions to share testimony
Im here on assignment. First half I’ve been studying for the last month, the second half has been burning in me for the past year. Literally in September of last year.
Introduction:
I’ve been assigned to “teach” you all about Noah and the ark! Now, when you prepare to teach a lesson, one of the first things you do in preparation, is consider WHO you will be addressing or speaking to and my very first thought was some people in there may be saying to themselves, “ok, skip to the good stuff because I’ve heard this story since before you were born. But I can tell you this, the very night (no exaggeration)that I was asked to teach on this topic, God showed me in a dream some things that I never heard preached before and that I myself would’ve never came up with.
Having said all that I want tell you all, that I will touch briefly on the back story of Noah and his predecessors, and will jump ahead in the word to see how this covenant given by God to Noah remained relevant through history but most importantly, I want to discuss what that covenant means for us today, and beyond. I want to share with you that the main revelation to the covenant God made with Noah, which carries on today and will so, even through eternity, all lies in the SIGN God put up in the sky, and by that, I of course mean, the rainbow. There is LITERALLY revelation in the rainbow.
If you will allow me, all while staying on topic, which is the Noahic Covenant, I would like to sub title this lesson, ‘The EVERLASTING Covenant’. slide 1

5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

We go on to read that Noah was a just man, and perfect in all his generations, and Noah walked with God.
First of all we find that the world was very wicked. Previously the bible talks about some very strange things going in the earth regarding the sons of God mingling with the daughters of men. You can also read about giants (or Nephilim) that inhabited the earth in those days who became mighty and were “of old”, they were men of renown. Scholars have researched and debated these beings and there are countless varying opinions of the state of the earth in those days sparking much debate. However, I believe these topics are among the long list of questions that we just cannot have answers for until we get over “there”.
What is important, is that the world became filled with beings that were so vile and wicked that everything about them was ONLY evil, except Noah. God was so grieved that He had to wipe these beings off the earth not just to cleanse the earth but to save Noah and his family.
Can you imagine living in a world where you were the ONLY one living for God. As bad as things are today, I am of the opinion that things were much much worse during the days of Noah.
And so the Lord tells Noah to build this amazing vessel. He gathers all the animals, 2 by 2, of clean beasts 7 pairs. The Lord gave extensive instructions on what to do with the animals and how to build such a massive ark to save them all, which many believe would have taken literally decades to build.
The Lord would go on to tell Noah that He is going to bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh, someone say “all flesh”. But the Lord tells Noah at this time that He will establish His covenant with him. And after all these instructions there were no more details given about what Noah endured through years and years of preparation and toil. The bible just simply tells us that Noah obeyed.
3. 40 days and 40 nights it rained. The fountains of the deep were broken up and the waters multiplied until all of creation was covered. 150 days the waters prevailed and for over a year Noah and his family remained in the ark until God safely brought them to rest upon the mountain.
4. The first thing that Noah did was build an altar to the Lord and worshiped Him. The smell from this altar reached the nostrils of the Lord and the Lord made a covenant with Noah, an agreement, a promise, that He would never again send a flood to destroy men.

12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. 14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. 17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

5. There many types and shadows that we find throughout the word that stem from this story of the righteous and just Noah who was saved not only FROM the water but BY the water. I would be remiss to move on without mentioning a few of those connections that point to the days to come, to name a few:
a. Just as Noah and his family were saved through the water, so we, will be saved through the water of baptism.
b. Just as God washed away evil from off the earth, so will those waters cleanse us from all of our sins.
c. Just as the ark was the means of salvation and there was one door to enter this ark, so is there only one way to enter to the Kingdom of heaven and it is through the ONE door who is Christ.
If the ark is a type of Christ, just know that Noah put the work in through obedience. Our relationship with our means of salvation requires us to build that relationship.
d. Just as the first action made by Noah was to build an alter of sacrifice, so was a precedent set that sacrifice was to be made not only TO God, but BY God when He would become the ultimate sacrifice, ensuring that once again, HE would provide the ONE WAY to salvation.
I also must tell you that the Lord said that he would never flood the to DESTROY men, but spiritually speaking, He also promised that he would flood the earth with a spiritual flood! This would be a flood of glory. “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14, KJV 1900).
And, of course, Acts 2:17 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh”:
I can tell you this, indeed, the waters are rising! Just as spoken in Ezekiel, when the waters that out of the temple, who is the temple? HE, is the temple, and from him flows these healing waters that will completely cover the earth to all those who are willing! Those waters began to rise and became ankle deep, then rise until they were waters that you could swim in, and I keep telling sister Vesta with all the powerful things that we’re seeing and the healings that are taking place and the move of the spirit that we are having that I just feel it in my spirit, we are only ankle deep! But quickly these waters are rising!
6. As much as I would love to dive deeper into these and continue in that vein, the Lord would have me go into another direction this morning. I NEED to bring your attention to the sign. There is revelation in the sign. I need to move quickly:
Of all the things the Lord could have done to establish His covenant He chose to put a rainbow in the sky. When I began to study about rainbows things became much clearer to me. Let me share with you some of the revelations that lie in the rainbow:
1. First of all, rainbows are a full circle… slide 2
You need Light and Water…Light split and reveals itself
The “sun” must be behind you
No one sees the same rainbow…between you and Him! Samaritan’s wanted to help
HERE’S THE REAL REVALTION!!!!
Ezekiel 1:28 “As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.”
Revelation 4:3 “And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.”
HE’S THE WHEEL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WHEEL! HE’S IN THE MIDDLE OF IT ALL! LITERALLY
CLOSING: I’m switching sequence of scripture
- This time last year…..
Ezra 3:11–13 “And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the Lord; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid. But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy: So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.”
Hesed. Covenant love
I have a word I’m about to share but let me give you some context as to how these relate
I was jogging
Isaiah 54:7–10 “For a small moment have I forsaken thee; But with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; But with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, Saith the Lord thy Redeemer. For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: For as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; So have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. For the mountains shall depart, And the hills be removed; But my kindness shall not depart from thee, Neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, Saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.”
You haven’t been forsaken
There was much good that came from exile
- Let’s look back at what took place after they worshipped….
The elders wept and the younger generation rejoiced
Here is the “Word of the Lord for you all in here…
