psalm 102:1-2

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

To bless the lord means to bend the knee in worship and praise, like a camel kneeling to be ridden.

Blessing the Lord is a more emotional experience; it is an act of both inner and outer devotion.

Blessing the lord involves giving God our whole heart and being, not just lip service.

Blessing the lord should be at all times, Psalm 34:1. When we bless the lord, we are sowing a seed that will return to us in a bountiful harvest of our desired blessings.

HOW DO WE BLESS THE LORD

1. By expressing our praise and adoration: This is praising God with our entire person. Praising God with our whole being. psalm103:1.

It involves publicly declaring his glory, telling of all his greatness and deeds in the presence of others. psalm 150:1, psalm 96:2-3

2. By living a life of blessing: Gen 12:1-2.

Living a life of blessing involves engaging in Christian service like sharing the gospel, serving others, teaching, and encouraging others.

It also involves praying with a grateful heart, bringing your problems and requests to God in prayer, recognizing him as your strength and salvation. Phil 4:6-7.

3. By honouring God with our substance (both material and finances), Prov 3:9-10, Psalm 96:8.

Have a wonderful week full of His blessings in Jesus' name, amen.
