Discerning the Deceit: Identifying False Prophets

When it didn’t happen, the author released a sequel, insisting he miscalculated. This teaches us the importance of not following man’s predictions, as Jesus Himself said, 'But concerning that day and hour no one knows' (Matthew 24:36). We must rely on Scripture and our faith, not fleeting prophecies.

1. Warning: Wolves in Disguise

3. Perils of Deceptive Teachers

2 Peter 2:1–3 ESV

But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

4. God's Just Judgment

2 Peter 2:4–10 ESV
