H.E.A.R Don't let him find you sleeping 9/23/25

H~ Mark 13:35 Don’t let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning.

Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit. (Luke 12:10) NLT

Be dressed for action and have your lamps lit (NRSV)

E~Jesus foretold the destruction of the temple and warned that wars, disasters, and false messiahs would mark the beginning of difficult times. He prepared His disciples for persecution, urging them to stand firm and trust the Holy Spirit to give them words when they are put on trial. When the “abomination of desolation” appears, He told them to flee quickly, because the distress would be severe and deception would be widespread. After these trials, cosmic signs will signal His return, and since no one knows the day or hour, His command is clear: remain watchful, faithful, and ready.

1.) (Vs.5) Then Jesus began to say to them, “Beware that no one leads you astray.

vs. 6 Many will come in my name and say, ‘I am he!’a and they will lead many astray.

2.) The gospel must first be preached to all the nations. (vs.10)

3.) Verse 11 we need the Holy Spirit to empower us to preach the gospel.

4.) vs.23) But be on guard; I have told you all things beforehand.

We need to recognize the voice of our Shepherd. That’s why we need to know well this book from cover to cover.

2.) 2Cor.3:3.) But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. 4. You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed. (2Cor.11:3-4)

We need to be able to recognize our savior, our Messiah. He won’t appear suddenly on earth as the antichrist, he will come in the clouds in the glory ,And every eye will see him. (Rev.1:7)

John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;

John 10:3–5 “To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. “When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. “A stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.”

1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world

A~Be familiar with my shepherd’s voice, Stay awake spiritually, be on guard, stay Alert, know the signs of the times, And Keep watch For Christ To return.

R~Father, keep me awake Spiritually at all times, keep me from sleeping, complacency And to be watching for your coming.
