Welcome:

We are in the eighth week of a sermon series — Life in the Spirit.
To live a life pleasing to God requires the Holy Spirit. It’s non-negotiable. Without the Holy spirit, we can’t love God, live for God or love people. It’s the Holy Spirit that enables us to live a Christ centered life.
Today, I want to speak to people who are frustrated in their walk. Constant ups and downs, discouraged time to time, and feel an inconsistency in their life.
I want to serve you by teaching you the scriptures and providing a solution to these frustrating

Main Passage:

Colossians 1:21–23 NLT
This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.

Title:

Believe the Truth

Introduction

Story of Bible College Camp, storm, and people drifting away from the shore.
What causes us to drift away are the question, doubts, and accusations against the truth of who God is and who we are in God.
Revelation 12:10 NLT
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters
Revelation 12:11 NLT
And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.

Context

Bible:

Romans 8:31–34 NLT
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.

Transitional Sentence:

In this passage, we are going to explore 3 wonderful reasons we respond to God with praise and worship.

Reason 1: God is for us

Romans 8:31–32 NLT
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
Genesis 22:12 ESV
He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

Reason 2: God has given

Romans 8:33 NLT
Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself.
Revelation 12:11 NLT
And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.

Reason 3: God pleads

Romans 8:34 NLT
Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
Colossians 2:16 NLT
So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths.

Now what:

Mark 9:24 NLT
The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”
Prayer: Help me overcome my unbelief
Thank You.

In Jesus name, amen.
