There children walk in the Truth.
Follow the command of Love.
Here the commandment is reenforced with this group of believers.
Commandments - More than one.
This is Love to follow his commandments. Loving Christ is demonstrated in obedience to his command.
Teaching your children to follow the commands, is commanded in the new testament. Ephesians 6:4, Colossians 3:21, 2 Timothy 3:14-15.
Deceivers are here - recent false prophets and false prophecies of the rapture.
Whosoever Transgresseth - Moral/Doctrinal Violations.
Don’t receive such a one, don’t even so much as bid them God speed.
Don’t be partakers of other peoples evil deeds.
Take aways!
Take aways!
We must be decerning when it comes to false teachers and false teaching.
What do they believe and teach?
Is it orthodox?
Is it heresy?
What what is their Character like?
Do these match?
2. We must Not receive such people! We must not bid them God speed, or bless them!
We must not invite them to speak at our churches.
We must not invite them to speak at our conferences.
We must not platform on social media or podcasts.
The must not have our blessing 2 John 10-11, Matthew 10:13-14.
The reverse is true, if they are faithful ministers, if they do believe and teach the truth, you are to receive them and you are to bless them and bid them God speed.
Application
Application
Practice doctrinal discernment in daily life.
Believers must actively test the teachings they encounter—whether in pulpits, podcasts, books, or social media.
Guard the Gate of Fellowship
We must not extend spiritual endorsement to those who distort the gospel.
Build a household of Truth and Love.
Discernment begins at home.
Teach your children to walk in truth and love—not sentimentality, but obedience to Christ’s commands (2 John 4–6).
Model love that is doctrinally anchored: “This is love, that we walk according to His commandments.”
Create a culture where truth is cherished and error is gently but firmly rejected.
Why it matters: The next generation will either inherit conviction or confusion. Your home is their first seminary.
