HELLO AGAIN RP FAMILY!
ITS SO GOOD TO SEE YOUR FACES AND KNOW THAT YOU ARE GROWING IN YOUR RECOVERY, BECAUSE YOU ARE ATTENDING TO IT, PERSONALLY!
HOW CAN YOU ATTEND TO IT UNLESS YOU MAKE IT A PRIORITY?
AMEN?
STEP 10 REAFFIRM: . We continually examine our lives and when we sin, promptly confess and turn to walk with Christ.
STEP 10 REAFFIRM: . We continually examine our lives and when we sin, promptly confess and turn to walk with Christ.
PSALM 139:23-24. Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way, everlasting.

WHAT DOES REAFFIRM MEAN?
WHAT DOES REAFFIRM MEAN?
TO AFFIRM ONCE AGAIN
Now, just in case you don’t know what the word affirm means, it means this.
To agree, verify, or concur, to answer positively.
REAFFIRM OBSERVATIONS
REAFFIRM OBSERVATIONS
Let me ask you some questions if I may?
(But don’t answer them out loud)
A long time ago when you accepted Jesus into your life were you excited, and happy because he saved you?
But then, as time passed, and you grew older, and maybe not so necessarily wiser, you non committedly decided to slowly walk away from you and your commitment to Jesus?
That happens, unfortunately to most of us because we do not have a strong foundation as a young person and a possibly tumultuous time in life.
I am no different in that life experience as well.
I had no spiritual backing to help me to examine my life and the ramifications of sin, as I was growing deeper, and deeper into it.
I did not know that I could ask God to forgive me, and he would cleanse me of all unrighteousness according to 1 John 1:8–9 “If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”
When we realize that God does forgive us, and cleanses us.
That allows us to reaffirm the faith with God and Jesus, as our Savior.
ILLUSTRATIONS:
A story is told of a clumsy penguin at a zoo who tripped and fell, making everyone laugh.
Instead of being embarrassed, he flapped his flippers and took a bow, embracing his moment of weakness.
This is how we should approach our confession!
When we acknowledge our sins, we can reaffirm our faith with a spirit of joy and acceptance, knowing that God delights in our honesty, just like the crowd enjoyed that goofy penguin's antics.
As children, we often wrote notes to say 'I’m sorry' after a spat with a friend.
NOW HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE DONE THAT BEFORE?
Reflecting on those innocent moments, it’s clear how confession feels like a fresh start.
Now, as adults, we can take those humble lessons into our faith journey.
The act of acknowledging sins might feel daunting, but it’s a lighthearted way to reaffirm our relationship with God, like getting back to being friends after a silly disagreement.
Imagine my family.
You and I can come boldly to the throne of grace just because God forgives us.
That is why I encourage you to ask God to forgive you each time that you want to have a prayer time with him.
You and I can reaffirm our relationship with Him just by a simple act of obedience of confession of sin and repentance, as well my family.
That reaffirms!
If there’s anything offensive in that lifestyle we live, we ask God to cleanse us and forgive us, and then we can go into the way of life, everlasting that He has prepared for us.
Again, can you say reaffirm?
What you and I are really doing is saying yes to God, and no to our fleshly desires!
That is what God has in store for us, and that abundant life that he has promised for us
APPLICATIONS:
When you find yourself doubting your faith at home, start a gratitude journal.
Every evening, write down three things that reaffirm your faith.
They can be simple, such as a beautiful sunset, an uplifting message in a hymn, or an encouraging conversation.
This practice will help you focus on God’s blessings and presence in your life, combating feelings of doubt with tangible reminders of His goodness.
After some time, revisit past entries to see how God has been active in your life, reminding you of the steadfastness of your faith.
In social settings where faith discussions can become awkward or contentious, prepare yourself with a faith statement.
(MINE IS “TO GIVE PEOPLE HOPE AND ENCOURAGEMENT FROM THE WORD OF GOD”)
Write down a concise, heartfelt declaration of your beliefs and the reasons behind them.
Practice sharing your statement with friends or family first, gaining confidence.
When you encounter doubt or opposition in public, you can calmly share your position without fear. This will help you articulate your faith clearly, transforming potentially uncomfortable moments into opportunities to reaffirm your beliefs and engage positively with others.

VERIFICATION OF REAFFIRM
VERIFICATION OF REAFFIRM
Again, MAY I repeat that to reaffirm, is to say yes to God, & no to our selfish desires.
That is the point of verification of our reaffirmation.
That gives us peace as well. My family.
ACTIVITY PARAMETERS TO REAFFIRM
ACTIVITY PARAMETERS TO REAFFIRM
Just as a reminder from last MONTHS, step study of restitution. We do not have to tell everyone that we meet, the Yes word.
The point here is to say yes to God and no to self.
Please keep Matthew 6:33 in mind as you seek to follow Jesus and you have reaffirm in your life.
Let me now read that to you as a reminder.
Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
AT THIS TIME WE WILL DISMISS OUR ONLINE FAMILY.
WE WILL SEE YOU AGAIN, NEXT WEEK, WITH ANOTHER NUTS AND BOLTS VIDEO!
QUESTIONS
1). In what ways, in the past have you told God no instead of reaffirm and to say yes?
2). If you’re now, deciding that you will reaffirm, what would you say to God now? To reaffirm?
