Ex 12:14-20; Lev 23:4-8. Tony van Drimmelen. The Christian faith is a celebrating faith. The gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ brings new meaning to our celebrations. The feast of Unleavened Bread followed on from the celebration that formed a nation, the feast of the Passover. Israel is saved by the blood of the Lamb and declared to be holy. Now the feast of Unleavened Bread reminds them to break from the past and rid themselves of anything that reminds them of Egypt. Jesus took our sins with Him when He went to the cross. In so doing he made us holy. Now we celebrate that by getting rid of anything that reminds us of our past so that we can live pure, holy and blameless lives to praise of His glory!
