Key Verse: “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” — Ephesians 6:10
Core Message:
Core Message:
Before you can stand in battle, you must know the One you’re standing with. Strength doesn’t come from strategy—it comes from intimacy with God.
1. Knowing God Is the Source of Strength
1. Knowing God Is the Source of Strength
Our God is the King of the Universe. He is mighty to save and to deliver. His ways are beyond our ways. His thoughts are not our thoughts.
We have spent much time in the past few months talking about our God and we are not wasting time keeping in the forefront.
Ephesians 6:10 doesn’t say “be strong”—it says “be strong .”in the Lord - We are called to be strong in Him. Because you are not strong enough
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Strength is not self-generated; it’s imparted through relationship.
It is your relationship with God through Jesus that allows you the strength to “be strong”.
2. Knowing God Builds Confidence in Battle
2. Knowing God Builds Confidence in Battle
32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
In this passage God is allowing the wicked to be confident in themselves through flattery.
There is a sure confidence in knowing just how capable your God is.
3. Knowing God Requires Pursuit
3. Knowing God Requires Pursuit
23 Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
24 But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord.
Boast in who God is.
Pursue a true relationship with God
Intimacy with God is cultivated, not assumed.
4. Knowing God Activates the Armor
4. Knowing God Activates the Armor
The armor of God (Eph. 6:11–17) isn’t just symbolic—it’s relational.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
You can’t wield the sword of the Spirit if you don’t know the voice of the Spirit.
