Affects of the Goverment shutdown
Affects of the Goverment shutdown
Schumer thinks that the media and the idea that the republicans have the majorty will be enough to con the american people into blaming republicans or Trump, but the trueth is they never proposed any option that was in anyway seriouis. It is the dems that are shutting down the goverment. In the face of blowing past the Goverment Budget, they were asking for massive refunding of things that were cut in the the big Beutiful bill. - THings like ABORTION. There proposal was not serious they knew Republicans could not accpt it without loosing their base. So we have the what I call the “DEMOCRAT GOVEMENT SHUTDOWN TILL WE ALLOW THEM TO MURDER BABIES WITH TAXPAYER MONEY”
There intention is to make AMericans suffer till they get their way.
THis impacts people we know, and love.
We will not Let that happen.

The False propoganda bout Isreal
The False propoganda bout Isreal
Israel’s battlefield victories haven’t kept it from losing support among Americans.
The New York Times recently released some jaw-dropping poll results on U.S. support for Israel—more accurately, the lack thereof. Forty percent believe Israel is intentionally killing civilians. Just 25% say Israel is taking enough precautions to avoid civilian casualties.
There are major splits by political party and age. Fifty-nine percent of Democrats believe Israel is intentionally killing civilians. Among Republicans, it’s 15%. Just 12% of Democrats expressed more support for Israel than Palestinians. This portends that most, if not all, would-be Democratic presidential nominees will vocally oppose Israel.
The Daily Signal depends on the support of readers like you. Donate now
Sixty-eight percent of those with a bachelor’s degree want Israel to end its military efforts before eliminating Hamas. Among those without, it’s 54%. This is evidence of how higher education indoctrinates students in a leftist worldview.
It’s worth looking at why support for Israel has fallen. It starts with the Left’s embrace of critical theory, which has infested the American education system. This Marxist worldview divides people into arbitrary groups based on race, sex, sexual orientation, wealth, or religion. It deems those who do well as the oppressors and those who are struggling as the oppressed.
This is why so many on the Left, especially on college campuses, blamed Israel for the Oct. 7 massacre. They viewed the murder of 1,200 Israelis and the kidnapping of hundreds more as justified resistance against a supposed oppressor.
Then there are the Left’s beliefs about colonialism, which criticize Western countries for settling other lands and expanding their influence. Leftists consider Israel an example of “settler colonialism.” Never mind that Jews first lived in Israel more than 1,500 years before Islam was founded.
Notice that this critique isn’t leveled against Muslims, who’ve long spread their religion and political power by bloody conquests. The Left is also largely silent about Muslims currently slaughtering tens of thousands of Christians in Nigeria. The Left only applies this to Western countries. It isn’t about advancing a neutral principle. It’s about making the Western world ashamed of our history and success.
Combine this with the propaganda and lack of moral clarity from the press, the Democratic Party, and even some on the right. Israel has taken unprecedented measures to protect civilians in the Gaza Strip. That’s necessary because Hamas purposely hides its military infrastructure among the civilian population. It wants Gaza Strip residents to die because it knows Western leftists will blame Israel.
Guess how many Iraqi civilians were killed during the Iraq War. In 2023, NBC reported the total was “approximately 200,000.” Yet, the U.S. military never received the blowback Israel does. Civilian casualties are both a tragedy and unavoidable if the enemy uses human shields. If Democrats wanted to save Gaza civilians, they’d attack Hamas for its tactics.
The Left frequently accuses Israel of starving Gazans. Yet, there is little outrage over Hamas and other looters stealing the vast majority of U.N. aid. Hamas uses what it plunders to fuel its fighting efforts. Israel is attacked for not distributing aid, but Hamas isn’t attacked for stealing it. Israel quickly signed on to a comprehensive peace plan laid out by President Donald Trump. It’s Hamas that doesn’t want to accept the deal.
Unfortunately, the truth doesn’t always win out. As Charlie Kirk laid out in a letter just months before his death, Israel needs to be more aggressive in countering the falsehoods many Americans now believe.
Support for Israel, America’s best ally in the Middle East, has long had bipartisan support. More must be done to ensure it stays that way.
Coaching:
Start with a 30-90 min summary preview… need to create a compelling preview. Right at the start.
Provide an emotional connection to the message. Front-middle-end. (cyber threats scare me, but camel spiders are the worst). (overcoming fear of the last days, and story of facing a scary situation with your parent is with you).
Present sermon based on an outline. not word-for-word
Stand up.
Use visuals that support - not lots of text but a visual that supports your talk.
No slide animation or transitions, unless they are directly supportive of the message.
Smile look at camera - place a picture of Paula or grand kid that makes you smile.
do a final statement slide slide- don’t use “thank you” slide
Q/A: don’t ask for a questions. - it can upstage the message,
instead blank you screen, before I conclude let me take a few questions.
keeps you in the driver seat, pick and choose the questions, don’t have time, meet afterwards. "excellent question!"
Then advance to your next summery slide that contains a re-iteration of the main message
Medium of choice is video even if you have a paper.

Pray for Israel
Pray for Israel
Standing against Hate: Combatting Antisemitism in Prayer :On the second anniversary of the October 7 attack, in cities across the world, including Athens, Geneva, Istanbul, London, Paris, Stockholm, Sydney, Thessaloniki and Tokyo, anti-Israel protesters gathered for rallies, despite politicians from multiple countries condemning the timing as “shockingly insensitive.”
Protesters outside King’s College in London chanted “Israel is a terrorist state.” British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said holding the protests on the anniversary of the October 7 atrocities was “a despicable excuse to attack British Jews for something over which they have absolutely no responsibility.”
Thursday night the timer started. Within the first 24 hours, the Israeli military is required to withdraw to a line agreed to by both Israel and Hamas. This line, known as the “yellow line,” will leave the IDF in control of 53% of Gaza, mostly outside of the heavily populated urban areas. The IDF will retain control of a buffer zone along Gaza’s entire boundary, including the border between Gaza and Egypt, known as the Philadelphi Corridor.
Hamas is required to release the remaining hostages (~20)within 72 hours—although President Trump said the release will likely not happen until Monday or Tuesday. Israel will in turn release 250 Palestinian security prisoners serving life sentences in addition to 1,700 Palestinians detained by the Israeli military during its military offensive in Gaza following the October 7, 2023 massacre. Israel has maintained that the prisoners released will not include terrorists who participated in the October 7 massacre.

Sermon: Walk Like an Egyptian? Not a Great Idea
WALKING with GOD
WALKING with GOD
11:00 Intro
the theme of this last half of EPhsican is WALK.
Christians will ask you how you WALK is… they mean your daily walking with Jesus…
WALK = whole manner of your life and conduct
In the OT, God alks about “walk” with teh isrealites also in the old testiment, and would discipline them if they walked contray to him, and if after the diciple they still walked contrary to him, he would inact heavyer disciple. Leviticus 26:21–33. why? because he like to cause pain? no but because the alternative to walking with god, is to walk contrary to God, and agree with the enemy's way of doing things wheater you know it or not.
1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.
YOu can see th contrast here…
Counsel of the wicked.
staninding in teh way/path of sinners.
doing things their way
However the BLESSED (happy), and Wise person does things differently… they delight in the LAW of the Lord. and meditate on it.
THe LAW of the LORD is the Word of GOD, that tells us what is good and what is right in the eyes of God.
TO walk with God means travelin ghis road.
THe 23rd Psalm explains…
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
God may lead you on paths that go through some dark places… but you are not there for recreation, but to walk WITH the Lord and follow him
26 Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure.
WALK is such a powerful analogy used by the the Holyl Spirit through the APosdtle Paul that it has become a “church word” and after you have been in church for a while your expected to just know it.
Even aprt fomr Christian SOciety we undertand WALK is incredibly important to our health and our identity.
I was wating the documentary about CHristopher Reeves, and you know he become Quadrapaligic, and it was such a devistating blow to anyone, but he was such an active person, he did not know how to relate to his children outside the context pf phyusical sports. He had
Paul charges us to walk worth of God in several
places:
11 For you know how, like a father with his children, 12 we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.
Exhort - (implore) stongly encourage, beg.
Charged - (insist), impore,
Jesus is calling… GOD is calling… you!
INTO his own Kingdom. & GLORY.
11:05 Key Text
1 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,
2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
7 But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.
8 Therefore it says, “When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.”
9 (In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower regions, the earth?
10 He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)
11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers,
12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,
16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
SONG
that was last week, now we look at this week
17 Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds.
18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.
19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity.
20 But that is not the way you learned Christ!—
21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,
22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,
23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,
27 and give no opportunity to the devil.
28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.
29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Walking without God v17-18
Walking without God v17-18
11:10 1st Point
17 Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. 18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.
sermon title is a refrence to ‘“Walk like an Egyptian.” a popular song fomr 1986 made popular byu the Bangles… it was if anyting a comment on the strange way people do things, and connected it to the sytlized way egyptians appear to walk in the hiroglific imagry. and really turned it into a sort fo dance move thing.
But Egyptions were gentiles. Classic arch eneimies of trhe Jews)
Gentiles do not walk in step with God’s ways.
The way Gentiles walk is in line with the way they think. It is a FUTILE way of thinking (ineffective, or incapable of producing any useful result.)
Their thinking is DARK. (the huge amount of horror films that are watched all year long and ephasized beyond all reason this month, is an Example. of DARK thinking.
Choosing OCt 7 to specifically protest Israel is especially Dark show solidarity with most orriific day since the holocaust is exceedingly DARK.
Aliananed form the Life of God. God is Life, and the enemy bring Death. any time you see people walking contrary to God you will increased levels of interest in Death. Sometimes this will be uncivilized like the terrorist, and other times it will be dressed up as civilized like assisted suicide, and abortion, and choosing only “perfect” babies to live.
God says this is from “ignorance” is caused by hardness of Heart.
Today this common way for Non-chritians think. It is the way the WORLD thinks.
We see this all around us and this thinking
Denying God’s Existence or Authority
Denying God’s Existence or Authority
Fools reject God’s reality or sovereignty, assuming they can live independently of Him.
1 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good.
the main tenant of Athiesm! - Denying the God of the bible leads to moral corruption and foolish ideas. THinking we all came from Nothing is not Science. it is FOOLISH. And is a direct consequence of rejecting the possibility of God (without evidence).
This is the base assumption of evolution. And all humanism
I estimate that at least 50-60% of the world's population (4-4.8 billion people) believe or acts as if there are no moral absolutes from God.
21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
Summary: Rejecting God’s truth results in futile, darkened thinking.
WHat examples do you see of rejecting God leading to FUTILE or DARK thinking?
Have you seen this in your own life?
Trusting in Human Wisdom Over God’s Wisdom
Trusting in Human Wisdom Over God’s Wisdom
Relying on human reasoning or worldly knowledge instead of God’s guidance is foolish. The intellect of God vs the intellect of Man, or AI.
Yet Christian s do this all the time. Rather than get advise from God and His word, they get advice from themselves (worst), or from Godless people (could be as bad), or AI. There is wisom in a mulltitude of wise counselors, and even non CHristians CAN have wisdom. And God can even use them to get a message to you… but DO NOT put them in the primary posision in your life. GO TO GOD FOR WISDOM.
26 Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.
Self-reliance apart from God is a hallmark of folly.
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
Propensity to Be Deceived Those who reject God are easily swayed by lies or false teachings, lacking discernment. We just covered this last week.
14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.
Without God’s truth, people are vulnerable to deception, like children swayed by false doctrines.
13 while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
Rejecting God leaves one open to both spreading and falling for lies.
The Story of the Prodigal SON, that rejects the life of wisdom with the father, and gos off on his own ways walking contrary to God, only to eventually come to his senses when he has come to the end of all things. and THe power of repetance and a fathers love… GOD is always ready to welcom the repentant back.
Fools avoid or flee from God’s truth, preferring comfortable lies or their own ways.
3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
Fools actively reject truth for teachings that align with their desires.
You may not like what you hear from me, and that is OK… , but if you reject the Truth of GOD, you are not rejecting me but rejecting the very TRUTH of god… You will be doing so to usually follow after your own desires and that path is not filled with light or goodness.
Greedy Sensuality = Hedonism v19
Greedy Sensuality = Hedonism v19
The human that walks contrary to God (because he does not recognize God as the authority in their life)
has a darkened understanding and is seperated form God… “cut of” or “alienated”
This is whay Jesus came to pay for our sins on the cross to cross the great devide to bring thsoe that were “far” from God “gentiles” “near” to God by grafting them into the Jewish family tree.
Wthout Jesus, their THOUGHTs are darkened and futile thinking leads to deeper sins!
19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity.
Hedonism is the philosophy or belief system that prioritizes pleasure, personal enjoyment, and self-gratification as the primary or highest good in life. Without God, the idea that “eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die, and to suck the marrow out of life is the philosphy that is easy to fall into.
Again think of the prodigal son.
13 Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living.
But hedonism always leads to bad ends, and even the ungodly people that are wise are able to see that unrestrained hedonism will lead to a life of misery, and addiction.
But specifically we are taught in 2 TImithoy that the last days will be like this…
2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
Just becase we are told the last days will be like thei does not mean we should accept it. We are to be light bearers and ambasadors for Jesus…
Christians should be reasoning on campuses and in the public squares and on the street corners against such idology (and every argement that set’s itself up against God).
This is why speaking about politics can lead to evagelism because allot fo the controversial political topics are essentially hedonism that is being defended by Law.
THIS IS HOW TO WALK LIKE A EGYPTION or GENTILE — NOT A CHRISTIAN.
A christian walks in wisdom.
what does that look like — following the will of and ways of God.
In all the differ parts of your life that we might be tempted to pursure ouw own pleasures or ideas…
WALK with GOD… Let God Control your:
Financial Life (v28)
Love Life
Spiritual Life (v30)
Speech Life(v29)
Thought Life (v31-32)
Marrital LIfe, Family Life, Work Life, Spiritual Life (CH 5)
Let God controll your Love Life (“DO NOT BE UNEQUALLY YOKED” ) marry somone whjo loves the Lord with the same focus and intensity as you have… (or better if you can! like me)
Let God control your thought life (Ideas that we entertain that do not honor God’s ways are also sinful). TO lust after a woman is to commit adultry in your heart. according to Jesus.
Let God control, your Educational Life (do you Ignoring God’s Correction? Or the rcorreciton from your borthers in sisters hear int he church? Fools reject God’s instruction or discipline, whether through Scripture or wise counsel.
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
5 A fool despises his father’s instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is prudent.
You might be thinking Pastor no one is that good. I will say your wrong Jesus was that Good. and He says he will help you become that good. He has set the standard, and now we are to WALK in manner WORTHY of the calling his has on us… to becoem like him.
Let God controll your Marital and Family Life and Church Life, and work Life, and all parts of your life… he will get into each of them in the following chapters…
OFF with the OLD & ON with the NEW v20-24
OFF with the OLD & ON with the NEW v20-24
11:20 2nd Point
But that is not the way you learned Christ!— assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,
We are to learn Christ… by hearing about Him. And in Hearing about Him we should have heard theat he expects us to walk a life that Honors God.
To “learn Christ” means to have a personal relationship to Christ so that you get to know Him better each day
this is why Paul had us pray that prayer at the end of chapter 3 Eph 3:14-21 about being strengthed with power of the Holy spisit to be grounded in rooted in Live so we could have the strength to comrehend the full dementions of the Messiah’s LOVE, with all fullness.
How do we DO it?
Essentially the way to think about it is fairly simple. like changing your clothes.
our OLD self = the Egyption/ Gential Walk. seriousl think about taking those habbits and patterns and remove them step out of them, and figuratively burn them as if they were contaminated. “Corrupt” - because of our Old desires (that the devile will try to temp you with even after and especially after you have given your Heart, and Life to Jesus.
23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
our New Self = The version of us that looks like Jesus, like his true righteousness and holiness. (not fake versions we have all seen)…
there are pastors and teachers, and priets, that are walking with a fake righteousness. THey are the ones that sin will find them out, and will get handcuffed and marked out of the church at some point… and it will be horrible because some of us were willing to follow after a fake righteousness. or deieceved by the act.
That is why real transperency and openness among true disciples is so refreshing. It is a Joy to be with them.
Romans 5-8, goes into som detail on this
Colossians 3, slo talks about this Tacking OFF and putting ON
9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. 11 Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.
You can see that there is now no devisions… your are either Wioth God , or without God. WIth Him or without him.
SPEAK TRUTH v25
SPEAK TRUTH v25
11:30 3rd Point
25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
So one of those things that was in the OLD Self was telling lies, creating deceptions,
speak the truth with his neighbor
Yes, this is about speech that we talked about before. but it is all actions of truth.
don’t try to impress your neighbor… with false pretenses… buying a car you can’t afford to “look like you fit in” is not speaking the truth with your neighhbor.
YOur neighboor is definately each othe rin the church… and we must be able to speak truth in love
as we studied last week.
15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,
if you are inimidated, to speak the truth for what they might say, we need to get that fixed. Get prayer ministry.
we speak the truth in love and compassion, and bear with one another in love.
If you cannot do it with love., wait till you can for Truth without love is
Do Not Sin when your Angry v26&27
Do Not Sin when your Angry v26&27
26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil.
THis vers says it all… there will be times when we will be angry.
Managing Anger Without Sin
Managing Anger Without Sin
Anger is not the sin. no matter what YODA says. No matter what Buddist Says
But there is a big temptation to SIN when your angry… becuase you are getting emotional and are less likely to remain in control. This calls for extra SELF-CONTROL.
So this is a special safegaurd for your anger.
the devil wants to use your anger to get you to sin and to get access into your life.
Recognize your weaks spots.
recognize when you have a weak spot, and perhaps have given the devil a “foothold” in your life.
perhaps you recognize you have an anger problem?
32 Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
Resolving Anger Quickly
Resolving Anger Quickly
Emphasizes timely reconciliation to prevent lingering resentment. this is critical because if you let anger remain inside you unresolved it will damange you.
in various ways. One way is that it will interfere with your relationship with God.
23 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
THe unresolved anger can turn into bitterness, and hate, wrath and even vengence.
13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
17 “You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him. 18 You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
Addressing issues directly and avoiding grudges supports resolving anger swiftly.
Avoiding a Foothold for the Devil v27
Avoiding a Foothold for the Devil v27
27 and give no opportunity to the devil.
this verse warns against giving the devil a “foothold” (Greek: topos, a place or opportunity) through unresolved anger or sin.
10 Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive. Indeed, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ, 11 so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs.
Forgiveness prevents Satan from exploiting relational strife.
8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
Vigilance against Satan’s influence connects to avoiding footholds through sin like anger.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Resisting the devil through submission to God prevents the foothold
Earning things so you can be a giver. v28
Earning things so you can be a giver. v28
28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.
The Bible pre-suposes private property, when it commands us not to steal in the 7th commandment. It directly forbids taking what belongs to another.
15 “You shall not steal.
11 “You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another.
Part of the Holiness Code, this verse links stealing with other sins like lying, showing it as a betrayal of community trust.
19 “ ‘And you shall not steal.
But like many OT verses, the real depth of God’s desire for us it to go beyond the “DO NOT’s” and Get into the “DO’s...”
DOn’t just stit around, laziness is connected to wickedness in the bible
Get busy get to HOPNEST work.… create stuff with your own hands. Stuff that is valuable so you can EARN somthing. SO you can then have SOMETHING to share with someone in NEED. This is how Capitalism is supposed to work.
THis is CLEARLY not socialism… for the goverment is not taking it from you through taxes, and fear of prison time and doing the distribution for you. THe bible is expecting you will have something to share with anyone in need.
It is the act of your CHOOSING to share that is important here.
Just getting funds to the person in Need is not the main point. The main point is your involvement.
Stealing & Hoarding wealth, is walking contrary to God’s Way
Stealing & Hoarding wealth, is walking contrary to God’s Way
Let God controll your Financial Life - Jesus would get opertunites to share about this …
13 Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” 14 But he said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or arbitrator over you?” 15 And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” 16 And he told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man produced plentifully, 17 and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ 18 And he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.” ’ 20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ 21 So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”
Tithing (spiritual discipine to help see if you have let god control your FInancial lide
giving god the first 10% is the minimum for walking with God)
I have heard christians that say this is OT “under the law stuff”, and if they are saying that they think we should all give more than 10% then fine. But if they are saying it is OK to give ghoid less than 10% then I can show that biblically Tithing to God is before the Law of Moses, and is a general spiritual principle that we should all follow. If we choose to honor god with less than 10% it is considered by God “robbery: stealking form God. You might think tyou do not steal… but if you do not give him 10% of your income before you start paying your bills, you are going to hurt yourself, more than anyone else.
How can you expect God to pless your finances when you are stealing from him?
No Crrupting Talk v29
No Crrupting Talk v29
29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Let God control your Speech
Lying speech Eph 4:25 replaced with trueful speech.
(Speech that is “salt water” that does not bless those that hear). for example Fools take pride in their own achievements or sinful actions, rather than humbling themselves before God.
Boasting/Pridful speeh
1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.
18 The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever utters slander is a fool.
6 A fool’s lips walk into a fight, and his mouth invites a beating.
Do Not Greive the Holy Spirit v30
Do Not Greive the Holy Spirit v30
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
THe holy Spirit is a person not a force like star wars
as a perosn of the trinity we can make the Holy SPisit Sad, or greived.
when we do things to hurt Him.
10 But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit; therefore he turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them.
This Old Testament passage reflects on Israel’s history of rebellion against God, particularly during the Exodus. Their disobedience and lack of trust (e.g., idolatry, complaining) grieved the Spirit, leading to divine discipline.
40 How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness and grieved him in the desert! 41 They tested God again and again and provoked the Holy One of Israel.
Repeated rebellion and testing God’s patience grieved His Spirit, showing a pattern of hardness of heart
11 And the Lord said to Moses, “How long will this people despise me? And how long will they not believe in me, in spite of all the signs that I have done among them?
19 Do not quench the Spirit.
While not using “grieve,” this verse is closely related, as “quenching” (Greek: sbennumi, to extinguish) implies suppressing the Spirit’s work, similar to grieving Him. Paul instructs believers to avoid stifling the Spirit’s guidance, particularly through despising prophecies or neglecting spiritual gifts.
Be Kind, tenderhearted, and fogiving v31-32
Be Kind, tenderhearted, and fogiving v31-32
31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
This passage calls for releasing destructive emotions and behaviors, replacing them with kindness, compassion, and forgiveness—core to Christian living and unity in the body of Christ
We swing back to the anger managment topic again.
It is related to the Not greiving the Holy Spirit, and gets down to something that should become a consisten charrcter trait - through the fruit of the SPirit.
Kindness (not Niceness).
not holding a grudge
Not waiting for them to one day maybe ask for forgiveness. Do your side first as far as it dependson on you… forgive them in your heart. GIve all of it to Jesus. Be careful you don’t hold onto unforgiveness in your heart. that would not allow you to stay tender hearted as this verse requires.
When did Jesus forgive you? did he doit on the cross? or when you asked him to fogive?
But Jesus did not hold any animosity or grudge aginst you, for he paid for your sins before you asked him for forgiveness. Therefore,
This is CHralie Kirks Wife.… Erika
Erika Kirk's gave a speech at her husbands memorial on September 21, 2025, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. She publicly forgive her husband's assassin, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, in a profound and explicit act of grace.
Her Words on Forgiveness: "My husband, Charlie, he wanted to save young men just like the one who took his life. That young man. That young man on the cross, our Savior said, 'Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.' That man, that young man, I forgive him. I forgive him because it was what Christ did. What Charlie would do. The answer to hate is not hate. The answer we know from the gospel is love and always love."
This forgiveness was directly tied to the example of Jesus on the cross ("Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do" from Luke 23:34), and it embodies the spirit of Ephesians 4:32 ("Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you")
Next chapter I will probably mention this speecha again for her speech mentioned their "Ephesians 5 marriage" (emphasizing mutual submission, love, and protection, as in Ephesians 5:21-33), shared marriage advice for women ("Don't settle for less than a godly man who cherishes you"), and urged men to embrace "true manhood" in leading families with courage and faith.
WALK LIKE JESUS
WALK LIKE JESUS
11:40 Summary
1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
What are we to do with this information?
Moses, walked like an Egyption, even though he was an ISraelite.
He was raised as an Egyption.
When he killed a n egyptian, he fled for his life and spent 40 year in the wilderness of Meidian.
Then in one conversation with the Living God, on holy Ground
He was transformed, and waked with God, for the rest of His life.
He poke to God Face to Face, and His Face reflected the Golory of the time he spent with GOD.
This is tansformation that each of us have when we invite the living God into our HEART.
A personal WALK with JESUS.
Imitating Jesus.
Dont walk like a Godless person,
DOn’t walk Contray to God
walk in step with the Love with Jesus.
We have thousands of people, many of them young people giving there lives to Jesus
Returning to chuch.
But we do not need a BACK TO CHURCH movement.
if we simply get people to fill the pews for a while, but never engage in this last line, we will only have a surface brand of “Christianity. religion”
OH GOD, help each church preach REPENTANCE.
We must now the Sactifice of Jesus in a personal way.
We must recognize that our SIN requires Repentance.
We must take of our OLD-SELF and put on the NEW SELF
The NEW SLEF that is constantly being renewed, through Repentance Forgiveness, and a cimmitment to walk righteously.
The Young People started going to church last month, because they
sw into the life of an AUTHENTIC CHRISTIAN, that Did the REAL WORK.
OF work of WALKING with God,
instead of the slight an monentray sacrifice of WALKING into Church.
“did you go to church today”?
“Yes and I joined many of my friends and family and we walked together with GOD this morning… we met with the Living GOD, and had a conversation”
16 For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
We are to walk with God regularily in obediance.
