Beware giving
Giving Charity
2 When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.
Jesus is specifically teaching about “alms” in this passage:
aid, charity, or benevolent offerings for the needy.
This is why charitable giving is a very important part of our Church budget.
We are corporately committed to obeying this mandate from the Lord.
without you giving enough the Church cannot be generous in charitable giving.

LESSON
In reading the classic words spoken by Mordecai to Esther, it’s easy to see they apply right now to every follower of Jesus Christ including me and you.
14 If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”
Esther needed to hear those words because it seems she needed the reminder of God’s intention to use her.
To many in light of the recent events, including the tragic death of Charlie Kirk, it may seem we are living in the words of Charles Dickens…
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.”
Nevertheless you and I are alive and believers for this time in history.
We are here by Divine Design.

MY FRIEND SCOTT HINKLE, AN EVANGELIST IN MINISTRY SHARED THESE WORDS IN A RECENT NEWSLETTER...
“whenever there is a spiritual awakening there has also been an uprising of darkness and evil.”
This has been true from the early days of Christianity as recorded in Acts and is still true today.
The response from heaven to evil and darkness is expressed by raising up a person and moreover a people…God’s people…the church.
Jesus said regarding His people…
18 Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.
Yes, a people of strength and action that will strike fear into the kingdom of darkness.
Here are five simple traits of those whom the enemy fears:
5 TRAITS OF THOSE THE ENEMY FEARS:
1) A PRAYING PEOPLE—They are in continual communication with the ultimate Commander In Chief – The King of Kings.
James 5.16b
16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
You get Holy Spirit empowered through your times with Him.
Prayer changes things...
2) A BIBLE READING PEOPLE—A Bible reading people cannot be enslaved. Their minds are transformed and renewed to the purposes of God.
“Don’t copy the behavior of the world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good, pleasing and perfect.” (Rom.12:2 NLT)
When you are a Bible reading people your faith becomes strong.
How about...
11 Teach these things and insist that everyone learn them. 12 Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. 13 Until I get there, focus on reading the Scriptures to the church, encouraging the believers, and teaching them.
The public read of the scriptures… There is Power in the Blood, but their is Power in the Word and Paul says, “Read it out loud in Public.”
3) A CONNECTED PEOPLE—They are a living, functioning body—the Body of Christ.
NOT AN ORGANIZATION, BUT A LIVING ORGANISIM.
Our strength can become measurable increased when Connected to others.
12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
The tensile strength of a single strand by snap under pressure, but when braided the tensile strength is increased...
30 How could one person chase a thousand of them, and two people put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the Lord had given them up?
Their strength is measurably increased when connected to others —Our God has not SOLD US. Your obedience to God and to His people brings many blessings.
One more point here:
4) A HOLY PEOPLE—A separated people to God, giving no room to the devil and sin.
9 But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
15 But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.
19 And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.
20 By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.
21 And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house,
22 let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. 24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
BEING HOLY IS MORE THAN JUST A BEHAVIORAL RESPONSE TO LIFE— THERE IS ALSO A SPIRITUAL COMPONET— A POSITION THAT CHRIST HAS WON FOR US BY HIS BLOOD!
“YOU ARE...”
“you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood” — THAT’S YOU!
5) A SOULWINNG PEOPLE – they will stand against evil and stand strong for righteousness while helping to populate heaven and de-populating hell.
30 The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life;
a wise person wins friends.
Once again, You are Divinely Designed to prevail.
God didn’t send His son, Jesus to destine us to fall.
He delivered Israel from the hands of Pharaoh — but it didn’t just happen over night.
He had to raise Moses up to be their leader....
What is God having to do in your life to bring you out of Egypt?
Check out this promise:
14 But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume.
Ponder on that:
ALWAYS LEADS US IN TRIUMPHAL PROCESSION...
SPREADS THE FRAGRANCE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIM EVERYWHERE.
Frankincense was burned in the Incense holder that the Priest carried to replace the stench of burnt flesh— they new he was coming cause they could smell the INCENSE OF FRANKINCENSE!
What INCENSE are you burning?
You are of Christ!
Change the atmosphere around you!
You are of Christ!
Let’s choose to be bearers of the Good Knowledge of Father and Change the atmosphere around us!
Let’s PRAY!
