And he said unto his men, The Lord forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the Lord’s anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord. So David stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul. But Saul rose up out of the cave, and went on his way. David’s family marginalised him. Family was relationally cold.

And Saul answered, God do so and more also: for thou shalt surely die, Jonathan. And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the Lord liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.

Broken- Spirits are crushed and relationships are severed.

If you have an imperfect spouse do everything that is in your power to prevent them being a broken person. over criticism, put downs. manage the conflict.

forgiveness- if you do not forgive, God will not forgive yours
