Accept No Compromise
Exodus 10:7–11 “7 Then Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long shall this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve the Lord their God. Do you not yet know that Egypt is destroyed?” 8 So Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh, and he said to them, “Go, serve the Lord your God. Who are the ones that are going?” 9 And Moses said, “We will go with our young and our old; with our sons and our daughters, with our flocks and our herds we will go, for we must hold a feast to the Lord.” 10 Then he said to them, “The Lord had better be with you when I let you and your little ones go! Beware, for evil is ahead of you. 11 Not so! Go now, you who are men, and serve the Lord, for that is what you desired.” And they were driven out from Pharaoh’s presence.” ;
Exodus 10:24–26 “24 Then Pharaoh called to Moses and said, “Go, serve the Lord; only let your flocks and your herds be kept back. Let your little ones also go with you.” 25 But Moses said, “You must also give us sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God. 26 Our livestock also shall go with us; not a hoof shall be left behind. For we must take some of them to serve the Lord our God, and even we do not know with what we must serve the Lord until we arrive there.””
Introduction
Introduction
Compromise is useful in human relationships, but dangerous in spiritual matters. When it comes to our walk with God, compromise weakens our convictions and leaves the door open for the enemy. God’s Word is non-negotiable. In Exodus 10, Pharaoh tries to negotiate with Moses, but Moses refuses every offer because God does not accept compromise.

Pharaoh’s Offers of Compromise
Pharaoh’s Offers of Compromise
1. Leave the Children Behind (Exodus 10:8–11)
1. Leave the Children Behind (Exodus 10:8–11)
Pharaoh says the men can go, but not the women and children. He wanted to divide the family’s faith.
Cross reference: Deuteronomy 6:6–7 “6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” – “Impress them on your children.”
Illustration (Modern – Family): Imagine parents going to church faithfully while their children stay home every week. Over time, the children begin to think faith is only for adults. Years later, when the parents grow old, the children have no foundation in Christ. The faith was never passed down. That’s why Moses said, “We will go with our young and our old.”
2. Leave Your Possessions Behind (Exodus 10:24–26)
2. Leave Your Possessions Behind (Exodus 10:24–26)
Pharaoh says the people can go, but not their flocks and herds. That was Egypt’s way of saying, “Go worship, but don’t bring your resources.”
Cross reference: Proverbs 3:9 “9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;” – “Honor the LORD with your wealth.”
Illustration (Modern – Finances): A man once said, “I’ll give God my time, but not my tithe.” But when his finances hit rock bottom, he realized he couldn’t afford not to give God what belonged to Him. God doesn’t just want part of us—He wants our worship, our time, and our resources. Worship without sacrifice is empty worship.
3. Worship on Pharaoh’s Terms (Exodus 8:25–28, context)
3. Worship on Pharaoh’s Terms (Exodus 8:25–28, context)
Earlier, Pharaoh told Moses the people could worship God, but only within Egypt’s borders. That’s like saying, “You can serve God, but only in the way I allow.”
Cross reference: Matthew 6:24 – “No one can serve two masters.”
Illustration (Modern – Worship): Today, society says, “Believe in God, but keep it private. Go to church, but don’t bring your faith to school or the workplace.” But Jesus said in Matthew 5:14, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” You cannot hide true worship.
Lessons from Moses’ Refusal
Lessons from Moses’ Refusal
God Sets the Terms – His commands are not up for negotiation. (Matthew 4:10 “10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”” )
Obedience Is Non-Negotiable – Half-obedience is disobedience. (1 Samuel 15:22–23 “22 So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.”” )
Compromise Opens the Door to the Enemy – Just ask Eve (Genesis 3:1–6 “1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” 4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.” ).
Application for Today
Application for Today
The enemy says, “Go to church, but leave your kids out of it.”
“Give God your song, but not your money.”
“Serve Him on Sunday, but live how you want the rest of the week.”
But God says, “Not a hoof, not a child, not a dollar, not a minute of your life shall be left behind.”
Closing Exhortation (Exit)
Closing Exhortation (Exit)
Church, the devil still deals in compromises. But like Moses, we must declare: “Not a hoof shall be left behind!”
If He gave you breath—don’t compromise your praise!
If He gave you strength—don’t compromise your service!
If He gave you provision—don’t compromise your sacrifice!
Because He gave it all, we must give it all back.
So shout it until the devil trembles: “No Compromise!”
Declare it until your children believe it: “No Compromise!”
And live it until the world sees it: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!” (Joshua 24:15)
Jesus didn’t compromise on the CROSS
Thief on the Left said IF YOU BE THE CHRIST SAVED YOURSELF and US.
But Jesus Didn’t Compromise
Because HE was wounded for my transgressions
Bruised for my iniquities
The Chastisement of my peace was upon HIM
BY HIS STRIPS I’m healed
Accept No Compromise!
