Wherever You Go, God Is There
Introduction
» — John Mark Comer
You are never ever alone because God is in every dimension at the same time.
God is in the past, he’s in the present, and he’s in the future. He’s in heaven, and he’s on earth.
He’s in the spirit world. He’s in our world. He’s in you, he’s above you, he’s around you—because he is multidimensional.
There are not a bunch of gods to cover every dimension.
There is one God in the persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Because he is multidimensional, you are never alone.
“
La Bible Louis Segond 1910 (Chapitre 139)
7Où irais-je loin de ton esprit,
Et où fuirais-je loin de ta face?
8aSi je monte aux cieux, tu y es;
10Là aussi ta main me conduira,
Et ta droite me saisira (Psalm 139:7–10, GNT).
It’s no use trying to play hide-and-seek with God.
He doesn’t have to seek you out, because every place you try to hide, he’s already there.
This is God’s omnipresence.
He’s everywhere! He’s in all things.
He is the beginning and the end.
There is no place you’ve been,
no place you are,
and no place you’re going to that God was not, is not, or will not be.Jonah 2:3 “Il dit: Dans ma détresse, j’ai invoqué l’Éternel, Et il m’a exaucé; Du sein du séjour des morts j’ai crié, Et tu as entendu ma voix.”
His mind is in our mind; himself within ourselves. His spirit is over our spirit; our presence is ever in his presence.
That should encourage you.
No matter where you go, God will go with you, and he will already be there to meet you.
Because God is in every dimension of the world—and even the dimensions we don’t know about—
there is nothing we could bring to him from our past, present, or future that he is not already in complete control of.
There is nothing that surprises him, nothing that could keep him from wanting to be close to you,
and nothing that changes his love for you.
You cannot get away from God.
He wants his presence to bring you comfort, peace, and joy.
No matter where you are, God is near.Jr 23.23 .Jon 1.3
God’s presence then began to take on a new meaning for the psalmist,
as if the light were dawning on him. Now, he stated, the hand of the Lord would lead and comfort him.
