A Liberated Soul
Text:
Matthew 12:43–45 “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking ( Looking everywhere) rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.”
This is why self reformation does not work. It may look ok, but it does not give a person a new man, a new heart, a new power, a new home, a new family, a new a new standing before God..
Example of liberation: Jonah, Thee Demoniac man, Blind Bartimaeus, Barabbas, Paul, The Thief on the cross, myself, Etc.
Galatians 5:1 “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”
Make sure you have been saved: Our generation want saved but they don’t seem to understand why or what they are being saved from!
3. Our Lord has a quick eye for the moral decline or tragedy and knows the real cure.
I. You Are Known: Sinless and Yet Knows the debt of sinners.
A. Christ: The one who knew no sin and yet had a great insight of the disaster of the soul, this is why one felt like He could instinctively understand them.
1, Ever: Met someone like that?
2. Not to many: We can open up to and trust with our very Being, Our Very Soul, Our Very Present State!
3. God Designed: He Has many times guarded us from the very depths of the sunken soul’s atrocities (extremely wicked or cruel act, savagery, outrage, horror, obscenity, iniquity).
4. Some: They may see you has content, come, little straggles and yet your soul is a disaster. Thought you had the victory because of what you could do, how you had the old enemy on the run. But now, o the hurt, ache .
II. You Are Hunted: Who Will Get You (someone will)?
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
A. Hounds of Hell. Last state will be worst than the first. they seek to come back in with you. The old disorder begins to reign again, how terrible, awful. The old sins are hungering to get back in. They are homeless and they do not like it!
B. Hounds of Heaven. Standing at the gate of real freedom (make sure it is the real gate), now enter.
C. Many very hurting: In the tragedies of the underground of our soul.
III. You Are Not The Answer: But He Is!! You know someone :)
Hebrews 2:3
“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;”
A. What was the answer?: For the Blind man? The Woman at the well, The curse of Leprosy? The Thief on the cross? The Pharisee called Nicodemus? The woman with Issues of blood for 12 years? The Mad man of Gadara?
B. Who knows what all you?: Have dreamed, Have tried, Have struggled with, Have failed at? You cannot leave a fullness of vileness and you can not leave a void of space. but what and who shall fill that room? This parable was about the Peril of The Empty Heart” New interest must fill the space.
C. Listen: How did the story end? His last state was worst then the first, LOST, SAD, BAD, DESOLATE, ending! This is not the ending we like, nor the ending you will like. Make sure you have a Happy Ending Story.
Note: In Him we are more then conquerors, no one else!
