Romans 5:12 “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—”
Who is the one man?
We don’t get to just blame Adam we would've screwed it up too.
Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
Romans 5:9 “Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!”
Our sin puts us under the wrath of God because God is just and sin requires Justice.
How does God forgive us while still being just?
How are we saved?
How are we saved?
How would people deal with their sins in the old testament?
God set up the sacrificial system to foreshadow how our sins would be ultimately paid for.
Romans 8:3 “For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh,”
The blood of Christ is what makes it possible for us to be saved. Without it we are hopeless to pay for our sins ourselves.

Ephesians 2:8–9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Acts 3:19 “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,”

2 Timothy 1:9 “He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,”
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
2 Corinthians 4:17 “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”
How to Know we are Saved
How to Know we are Saved
Have you ever worried about your own salvation? When?
Ephesians 1:13–14 “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.”
James 2:14–18 “What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?
James asks if someone is a Christian even if their life shows no real change.
Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?
What do words without actions show?
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.”
We all should have time of deep refection and ask if our faith is real and genuine or if we are just along for the ride.
