Honor pastors/leadership
really excited to share what Gods been speaking and doing. So lets read he parable of the prodigal son which should give you an idea of what were talking about tonight

Mental Moves

Luke 15:11

Verse 13 ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ And he divided his property between them. 13 Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey
how many of you know the bible is alive. When something is alive we can continue to learn something new about it. When im including well known stories in a sermon I ask the holy spirit to bring a knew revelation and he is always faithful.
the holy spirit pointed out to me that the prodigal son had mentally left his fathers house before his physical departure.
-all departures from faith are mental first. all physical moves follow a mental shift.
-ive repeated something ive heard before that i forgot where i heard it but theres a saying that goes “God got Isreal of Egypt, its our choice to get Egypt out of us” Its the reciprical here church. The son is in the fathers house but mentally he is moving towards sin. The prodigal son is a warning to us to hold every thought captive and move mentally towards the Kingdom of light. That we take steps in physical and bear much fruit!
This whole sermon started a couple months ago when i felt the holy spirit convict and plainly tell me youve moved out of Gods house. When it comes to our earthly fathers we move out and take care of our families while mainting a healthy relationship. That is not how it is supposed to be when it comes to our Heavenly father. the holy spirit told me you visit God and make sure to speak regularly but you are not abiding in Him.

4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”

7 So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. 13 He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.

21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
