INTRO

a lot of what we will be talking about is inward holiness.

while we dont have nearly as many outward things to address as the ladies might, as men, our outward holiness matters just as much

if what you are wearing does not honor God, it is not holy.

dont walk around looking like a bum, look decent, wear deoderant, be presentable. IT MATTERS

Hebrews 12:14 “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:”

1 Peter 1:15–16 “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

1 Corinthians 3:16–17 “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”

Eyes

Matthew 6:22–23 “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!”

Psalm 101:3 “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.”

men are stimulated by sight

Job 31:1 “I made a covenant with mine eyes; Why then should I think upon a maid?”

Ears

Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

if it is true that hearing can produce faith, then it must also be true that hearing can also produce doubt

what you hear has influence on who you become

Mouth

Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”
