Proverbs 8. Tony van Drimmelen. How do you know what the right thing to do is and especially when the rules don’t apply? We have rules for all kind of situations. Our morals, the ideals we all grew up with, not to mention the influence of our peers, these all form part of the rules we use to determine how we conduct ourselves. But keeping the rules is no guarantee of success when dealing with the complex realities of life. While the rules can be helpful, we need what only God can give: true wisdom. Proverbs 8 tells us how valuable wisdom is, our problems with wisdom and ultimately where to find wisdom. In this series of sermons the book of Proverbs will help us find true wisdom that comes from God.
