Your part (Oscar 15min)
You in the roll of group mentor and the 1:1 mentors
We want you to lean in to the process as a participant, eventually we will be shifting to you a mento

What relationships are we looking to establish
what we think of when it comes to relationships: Our family, our staff, our leadership team, our community, etc. (a couple of relationships are missing ane we will add the in a moment)
How do we engage with them
How do we connect them to each other or bring them into deep relationship
Faith as a relationship
What does your relationship with your faith look like?
Can your faith speak into you or are you fighting with your faith (is there any friction)
Are you connecting your faith to others and whats that relationship look like?
Ministry moves at the speed of relationships
Relationship are not networks
Relationships are not productive or strategic
Relationships are not going to hurt you
As a mentor in this cohort you should: (speak into)
Make sure your participants have a healthy relationship with God
Evaluate, and discern if the participants have a healthy relationship with themselves (do they rest, are thy growing, are they “healing” and are they resourced
Are they establishing healthy relationships with the rest of the participants in the cohort
Are healthy relationship multiplying from them
We value the quality of relationships
Do you have people you can go to
Is there people that can correct you
Do you have people you can have fun with
Expectations and relationships: Specialty in a setting of our cohorts
Some participants have expectations of you as a mentor
They are going to size you up ( are you admirable)
they are going to use you as a network opportunity (what they can get from you)
They are going to connect with you as long as you agree with them ( a certified person in authority to excuse themselves)
Your can respond by:
Your not that impressive
Point them to God
Speak truth
I am your lab project
I have not always made the right decision: Ask your self, what would I have done in that situation
I am exploring and growing: How can that benefit you
Restoration: We can help and bring others that can help
Closing thoughts
Relationships are not there to only pick you up but to prevent you from falling
When you do fall, the ones with experience will pick you up: The West Wing
