1 John 2:1–2 “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”

What God Says About Jesus

Jesus Is Our Advocate

1 John 2:1 “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:”
John made it clean that we cannot be sinless
1 John 1:6 “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:”
But he did believe that we could sin less “and if any man sin,”
What do we do when we sin?
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Though you may sin Jesus is praying for you!!
Luke 22:31–32 “And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.”
Why can Jesus do this for us?
He is Jesus Christ the RIGHTEOUS!!
Isaiah 53:11 “He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: By his knowledge shall MY RIGHTEOUS SERVANT justify many; For he shall bear their iniquities.”
Jesus is Sinless, Undefiled, Spotless THERE IS NONE LIKE HIM!!!
The word Advocate means helper, and intercessor.
Jesus is the:
The Cleanser of our Sin
1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
The Forgiver of our Sin
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
The Helper and Intercessor When we Sin
1 John 2:1 “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:”
Jesus is the intercessor in our heart
Romans 8:26–27 “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
Jesus is the Intercessor in Heaven
Romans 8:34 “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
As a result, NO SIN CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD THAT IS IN CHRIUST!!!
Romans 8:39 “Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
