The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
A fool is one who has no time for wisdom or instruction.
Fools have serious spiritual problems
Fools have serious spiritual problems
When a man’s folly brings his way to ruin, his heart rages against the Lord.
The blame their problems on the Lord
A desire fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but to turn away from evil is an abomination to fools.
They don’t have enough sense to turn away from evil
Fools mock at the guilt offering, but the upright enjoy acceptance.
The very thought of sin causes humor rather than concern.
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.
He only trusts in his own ways. His way is right. All others are foolishness to him.
Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.
Trusts not only in his own ways but in his own mind.
A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.
Has no desire to hear understanding or sound logic. Instead he enjoys an echo chamber.
Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, for he will despise the good sense of your words.
Despises others for their good sense.

The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever utters slander is a fool.
Fools love to spread false accusations against others.
One who is wise is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is reckless and careless.
A fool is one who has no regard for the repercussions of their actions.
Every prudent man acts with knowledge, but a fool flaunts his folly.
The fool is so confident in their foolishness that they leave it out in the open for all to see.
A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.
No one ever has to wonder what a fool is thinking.
Proverbs 15:5, 20
A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother.
A fool despises his father’s instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is prudent.
The fool ignores wise counsel from their parents.
The discerning sets his face toward wisdom, but the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.
The sights of the fool are often on things that are imaginary or impractical. Goals
The Way of the Fool is hard to change
The Way of the Fool is hard to change
Good sense is a fountain of life to him who has it, but the instruction of fools is folly.
There isn’t much point in trying to correct a fool.
A rebuke goes deeper into a man of understanding than a hundred blows into a fool.
Correction even to the point of a beating will do no good for the fool.
A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the back of fools.
Same as above, you’ll have more luck taming an animal than you will a fool.
Crush a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with crushed grain, yet his folly will not depart from him.
Even attempting to crush the defenses of a fool is bound to be failure.
The future of fools is bleak
The future of fools is bleak
The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace.
The fool will be disgraced as their inheritance.
Like snow in summer or rain in harvest, so honor is not fitting for a fool.
Honor just doesn’t fit for the fool. It doesn’t make sense.
The wise of heart will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin.
The fool babbles and has very little of value to say and therefore meets his ruin.
Whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.
The fool will struggle to be independent and end up working for the wise man.
A foolish son is a grief to his father and bitterness to her who bore him.
They bring shame and difficulty on their parents.
He who sires a fool gets himself sorrow, and the father of a fool has no joy.
There is a lack of joy for the parent of a fool.
