This Sunday, Pastor Ryan’s message is on the conclusion of the feeding of the five thousand. The people, marveling at the miracle, proclaimed that Jesus was the great prophet sent of God, fulfilling Deut 18. And then, in the fervor of popular passion, the crowd wanted to make Jesus their king. Jesus would have none of this, and escaped into the mountains. These two brief lessons teach us much about discipleship and the mission of our Lord Jesus.
