Introduction

Mark 6:31 CSB
31 He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a remote place and rest for a while.” For many people were coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.
Matthew 11:28–30 CSB
28 “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
The heart of this whole trip — is that you come away to a remote place (away from distractions and responsibilities at home) to connect with Jesus
Vision — Jesus in the eye of the storm
Not run away from the storm—but find Jesus in it
We’re going to break up into a couple of groups to pray into this weekend—but I just have a couple of things I want to say first:
We’re going to have a lot of time for fun—but we are also going to have time set apart for prayer and drawing near to God.
After prayer tonight — We’re just going to be hanging out — Lights out at midnight
Tomorrow:

Session at 10
Afternoon to Hang — Lunch

2. You are only going to get out of this what you put in
We are creating a space for you to encounter Jesus and grow in your relationship with the Lord
But you have to put your effort into it as well
So right now we are going to start our trip with a time of reflection and discussion with each other
What do you seek to gain from this weekend?
Will you be intentional in seeking this goal?
And in groups we are going to talk about this — and then pray into the weekend
People at home praying for you
And remember in these discussions and times of prayer
You’re only going to get out of it, what you are willing to put in
So lets take some time — Pray
