BIG IDEA:
BIG IDEA:
Wisdom doesn’t begin with information — it begins with reverence.
The fear of the Lord (yir’ah) is not terror that drives us away, but awe that draws us near. When we bow before God, we rise with understanding.
KEY TRUTH:
KEY TRUTH:
You can’t be wise and proud at the same time.
Every act of true wisdom begins with bending the knee.
INTRODUCTION:
INTRODUCTION:
Connect the trilogy: “Fire fell, the altar was rebuilt, now the smoke rises — the evidence of revival.”
Introduce the two Hebrew words for fear:
Pachad (terror) makes you run.
Yir’ah (reverence) makes you worship.
Ask: “When was the last time the presence of God took your breath away?”
Statement: “Wisdom is what happens when awe becomes obedience.”

Text: Job 28:28
28 “And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom;
And to depart from evil is understanding.’ ”
The wisest thing a man can do is realize he is not God.
Revival makes smart people humble and humble people wise.
Application: Stop asking “What should I do?” and start asking, “Lord, what honors You?”
Illustration: A miner searching for gold (Job 28 context) — wisdom isn’t discovered by digging deeper into ourselves, but by descending lower in humility before God.

10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments;
His praise endures forever.
Wisdom is not intellectual; it’s relational.
You don’t just know God’s principles; you honor His presence.
Yir’ah is daily awareness that God is in the room.
Application: Don’t just pray for answers — pray for awareness.
Illustration: Moses before the burning bush — wisdom began when he took off his sandals.
Humility Is Heaven’s Prerequisite for Wisdom

33 The fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom,
And before honor comes humility.
Fear of the Lord makes you teachable.
Pride seeks control; fear of the Lord seeks counsel.
Revival wisdom is not cleverness but surrender.
Application: Stay on your knees long enough to hear what wisdom sounds like.
