Dry Bones Lesson

Intro

Welcome everyone to our Sprouts Halloween Party!

We are so happy that you are here today with us and I’m excited how we can celebrate and learn about God as we have tons of fun today

Today we are going to be talking about skeletons and how God made them come alive to show how powerful he is and that He can make anything better

Who knows who the Isrealites are?

Who are they?

They’re God’s chosen people

And Right now in Ezekiel they were kicked out of their own land and under control of another kingdom called Babylon

But God called a prophet whose name was Ezekiel

A prophet is someone whose job is to say what God is saying to someone or a group of people

In the beginning of our story God takes Ezekiel the prophet to a valley of bones

God asks Ezekiel if the bones can come to life

and Ezekiel says back to God only you know that God.

So God tells Ezekiel to tell the bones that God commands the bones to come together and put muscles and tendons and skin over them

So Ezekiel tells the bones on the ground what God commanded

And the bones start to rattle on the ground

and they come together, muscle and tissue is put on them and skin covers them Just like God said

So there was this large army of people that God had put back together but they were not not alive.

It was a bunch of bodies with no life laying there

So then God tells Ezekiel to tell the wind that God commands it to give life and breath to the bodies

And they come alive and stand up as an army!

God tells Ezekiel when the bones were just laying on the ground they were helpless just like the Israelites when they were captured by Babylon

But God told Ezekiel that He would give them hope and that he would bring them out of captivity and put them in their own land, give them His Spirit, and raise them from the dead

Just like with the bones that God brought to life and made an army

God can fix anything that might be dead with us

That means that he can fix our relationship with Him if we aren’t saved

So I’m going to show you now how God can fix our relationship with Him and give us life
