Matthew 28:18-20
Sacrifice- leaving behind things and counting the cost
Matthew 4:18–22 “And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him. Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.”
obedience- God doesn’t want some of us he demands ALL of us Proverbs 3:5–6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
teaching- willingness to be taught
correction- we must accept correction Proverbs 27:6 “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.”
fellowshipping- I am scared of “saints” that neglect fellowship with fellow saints Hebrews 10:25 “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
meeting needs- cant say we follow Jesus and leave Jesus people out there bold 1 John 3:17 “But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?”
