INTRODUCTION
2 Timothy 1:9 “who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,”
John 15:16 “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
Author and finisher, good plans for you
I am called
Everyone has a calling
David was called to be a Prophet, Psalmist, and King
Mary was called to be the mother of Jesus
John the Baptist was called to be the man crying out in the wilderness, make way for the Messiah!
Everyone is has a calling from the Lord
Your call from the Lord is your individual assignment, purpose, and destiny the Lord has for you
THERE IS NOTHING MORE TRAGIC OTHER THEN A LOST SOUL GOING TO HELL, THEN A CHRISTIAN WHO NEVER FULFILLED THEIR PURPOSE.
THERE IS NOTHING MORE TRAGIC OTHER THEN A LOST SOUL GOING TO HELL, THEN A CHRISTIAN WHO NEVER FULFILLED THEIR PURPOSE.
Matthew 25:24–27 ““Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’ “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.”
My burden is for souls, heavy evangelistic heart, but also the church.
If I could minister to just 1 Christian who is walking on the wrong path, and give them direction that they may fulfill God’s perfect plan for their life, my life was worth it.
That is a form of soul winning.
When Christians fulfill their purpose, souls will come.
Souls will always be the result of obedience.
When you walk in the will of God, souls will just happen.
1 Corinthians 3:11–15 “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”
There is no judgement of sin for the believer
However there is a judgement of works - rewards and loss
The work you do built on the foundation of Christ and led by the Holy Spirit according to the purpose God has given you, will result in rewards.
The work you do in selfishness and the flesh will suffer loss. You will be saved but your heavenly rewards will be lost.
Everything you do in the flesh will be worth nothing, wasted time.
Which is why the enemy wants to distract you and steal your time.
The enemy wants to steal your time and kill your destiny.
Why is it wicked? Because it isn’t only your heavenly rewards at stake, it is all the lives you could have impacted.
WITH A CALLING COMES REFINEMENT
WITH A CALLING COMES REFINEMENT
Ephesians 1:4–5 “just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,”
Romans 8:28–30 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.”
Matthew 22:14 ““For many are called, but few are chosen.””
Why are many called but few chosen?
Because out of the many that are called, few of those are willing to respond to the call
Responding to the call requires OBEDIENCE, SURRENDER, DISCIPLESHIP, and REFINEMENT.
Sidenote.… could add impartation- Paul and imparting - God doesn’t work outside His body. You cannot respond to the call without the body

Gord and then leadership
God showed me in a dream if I didn’t let go of the Pastoral season it would kill my destiny, your call involves seasons that must come and go
Human sympathy isn’t always the Lord
There are things that have happened in the past year where you wondered “God why would you allow this to happen”? But this was all just for your forming. For God to see what is in your heart. If I allow the enemy to poke what will come out? And what I have seen is you have been tested and came out with purity, as pure gold. And God says how I will anoint you-
I didn’t let it define me I let it refine me
When something evil happens, what will you do with it? Will you get bitter at God or people? Or will you STAND in the evil day?
You can let it define you or refine you!
