Wives, husbands and brothers and sister.

A man and a women were having an argument about who should brew the coffee in the morning.
The wife said, you should brew the coffee, because you get up first, and then we don’t have to wait as long to get our coffee. The husband said, You are in charge of cooking around here and said you should do it, because that is your job and you should do it. I can wait for my coffee. Wife responds , No, you should do it, besides, it is in the bible that the man should do the coffee. Husband replies, I can’t believe that , show me. So the wife got the bible and opened it to the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages it did say HEBREWS.
This is what we as women like to do. We sometimes use the bible as a weapon for our benefit. Peter gives us instruction on the best way to win over our husbands.
1 Peter 3:1–6 “Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.”
At this time when A man became a Christian the women would usually follow. The man had authority and was the head of the household. but what Peter talking about is a Christian women who if she believed would come into this alone. Peter is assuring these women that they didn't need to be preaching to their husbands.
Submission

Stephen P. Beck writes:

Driving down a country road, I came to a very narrow bridge. In front of the bridge, a sign was posted: “Yield.” Seeing no oncoming cars, I continued across the bridge and to my destination.

On my way back, I came to the same one-lane bridge, now from the other direction. To my surprise, I saw another “Yield” sign posted.

Curious, I thought. I’m sure there was one positioned on the other side.

When I reached the other side of the bridge, I looked back. Sure enough, yield signs had been placed at both ends of the bridge. Drivers from both directions were requested to give the other the right of way. It was a reasonable and gracious way of preventing a head-on collision.

When the Bible commands Christians to “be subject to one another” (

Ephesians 5:21 “submitting to one another in the fear of God.”
Submission

the condition of being submissive, humble, or compliant.

This is Christian living in a nutshell.
1 Peter 2:13 “Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme,”
1 Peter 2:18 “Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh.”
Ephesians 5:22–24 “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.”
People don’t like this submit… this is just being humble to one another. Just as Christ who we are to imitate.
According to this the bible we are to submit to our husband as husbands to Christs, slaves to masters( which is employees to employers) According to the bible the husband , man is the spiritual leader.. . Real spiritual leadership is involving loving service. Just as Christ served the disciples such as washing of their feet. So the husband is serve his wife but we as wise honoring wives should not undermine the husband.
1 Peter 3:1–4 “Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.”
Actions speak louder than word. Let your word teach and your actions speak.
1 John 3:18 “My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”
This is Christian speaking.
Do not let the adornment be merely outward.
The ladies would adorn there hair .
1 Peter 3:3–5 “Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands,”

While the world prizes costly clothing and gold jewelry, a woman with a gentle and quiet spirit is precious to God. Peter did not state that women should not wear jewelry and nice clothes, but that Christian wives should not think of outer attire as the source of genuine beauty. What is on the inside is way more important.

Incorruptible beauty
is gentle-kindness of behavior, founded on strength and prompted by love.
Proverbs 15:1 “A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.”
The Christian calling card is Love
quiet spirit
1 Peter 3:7 “Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.”
