1) What are all of the main ideas/concepts/points in this passage? What is the author trying to say by including this episode or teaching?
verse 15 is the money
the light of Christ shining through the cracks of our lives
hard pressed, but not destroyed
God is working, he is moving, he is showing up, all because of Grace which is named in verse 15
Jesus Christ as Lord
light shine in our hearts
given us the light of the knowledgte of God’s glory
given treasure in jars of clay
death is at work in us
let the tension build toward verse 15, Paul is grateful for all of this, he sees it all in light of grace
8 & 9, 10 alot of power in this juxtuspotion
carrying the death of Jesus in order to reveal the life of Jesus
why is he grateful, second half of 15, it is because it is for their sake
like audio feedback, it builds on itself
grace should overflow in us
how is grace abounding in us and flowing through us, so that we may be instruments of God’s grace in this world
from us to them
you went through these things so others may experience grace through you
encouragement to the flock to be the ones that extend grace
people are watching, someone is watching
paul is inviting the Corinthians to observe something
