Short Video Script (4–7 Minutes)
Welcome to Part 4 of our “Facing False Views” series on end-time prophecy.
Today, we’re addressing one of the biggest problems in the church when it comes to understanding the Book of Revelation…
Symbolism that isn’t in the Bible.
What I call “MSUing” — Making Stuff Up.
The human brain is powerful.
We have a natural tendency to interpret facts through our own:
Life experiences
Upbringing
Cultural filters
Personal feelings
And when we approach Scripture through that lens — instead of letting Scripture interpret Scripture — we end up filling in the blanks with our own ideas.
That’s what much of symbolic interpretation really is.
It’s old-fashioned MSUing.
Some people do it with good intentions…
Some do it out of pride, like the “seminary egg heads” who think they’re smarter than everyone else…
And others — like parts of the early church — used symbolism to control the masses.
But none of that comes from God.
2 Peter 1:20–21 says, “No prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”
God didn’t give us Revelation so we could make it say whatever we want.
He gave it to us to believe what is written.
Matthew 24:35 — “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”
God’s Word is not vague. It’s not a riddle. It’s eternal truth.
When we take a Futurist View — that is, the literal interpretation of end-times prophecy — we are honoring what God said, not rewriting it to fit our opinions.
The Futurist View:
Takes the text at face value.
Recognizes that prophecy speaks of real, literal future events.
Trusts God’s Word above human intellect.
This is the view held by the early church, the faithful remnant, and the majority of modern Bible-believing Christians who trust in the soon and literal return of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:3 says, “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.”
It doesn’t say “blessed are those who make up their own meaning.”
It says blessed are those who keep what is written.
Symbolism may sound clever… but it’s dangerous.
The Word of God doesn’t need your imagination — it needs your obedience.
Stop MSUing.
Read what the Bible says. Believe what you read, not read what you believe!
Take it literally.
And live with the expectation of His soon return.
Titus 2:13 — “Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.”
Prayer: Father, Thank You for Your unshakable Word. Forgive me for any time I’ve relied on human reasoning instead of trusting what You’ve spoken. Fill me with a hunger to read and believe Your Word as it is written. Protect my heart from deception and keep my eyes fixed on the Blessed Hope — the soon return of Jesus Christ. In His mighty name, Amen.

New Message: “Facing False Views — Stop Making Stuff Up!”
Too many twist Scripture with symbolism that isn’t even there. It’s called MSUing — Making Stuff Up.
But God’s Word doesn’t need your imagination — it needs your faith.
2 Peter 1:20 — “No prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation.”
Revelation 1:3 — “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy…”
Take it literally. Live expectantly. Jesus is coming again.

Facing False Views — Stop Making Stuff Up!
Facing False Views — Stop Making Stuff Up!
This is Part 4 of our series on false prophetic views.
So far we’ve addressed Preterism, Historicism, and the Spiritual View.
Today, we expose the danger of symbolism that’s not in the Bible.
Many believers and theologians fall into the trap of MSUing — Making Stuff Up.
It happens because:
We interpret through our personal experiences.
We relate everything to ourselves.
Some use it to sound intelligent.
Some use it to manipulate others.
But God never asked us to fill in the blanks.
He asked us to believe what He said.
2 Peter 1:20–21 reminds us, “No prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation.”
Matthew 24:35 — “My words will by no means pass away.”
The Futurist View takes God’s Word at face value. It recognizes the prophecies of Revelation as literal future events — not moral stories or allegories.
Revelation 1:3 gives us a promise: “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy…”
Titus 2:13 calls us to look for “the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.”
The Word of God doesn’t need to be reimagined. It needs to be obeyed.
Declaration
Declaration
“I declare that God’s Word is true, eternal, and clear. I reject man-made symbolism and private interpretations. I will take Scripture as it is written and stand on its promises. My hope is in the literal, glorious return of Jesus Christ!”
