Practice/Training:
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
Training gives you skill in Christian living gained through practice. Training in the Word of God gives you the skill not only to know what is right and wrong but practice in shunning what is evil and choosing what is good.
7 What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
Train/practice: in music, you look at the music to find the wrong notes. Then you play the trouble parts over and over again starting out slowly until you play it right. Then you get it a little faster and faster until it is up to tempo. Then, you can play the whole piece of music for your enjoyment and for others to hear.
In the Christian walk, you look at the Word of God to see your wrong behavior. You work on the trouble parts (sins) of your life and you apply the Bible to those sins. It looks like this:
