John 2:13-25

I. Jesus Cleanses What Has Become Corrupt (vv. 13-17)

A. Instead of worship Jesus found corruption.
B. Jesus takes worship seriously! He drives away the corruption.
C. Would Jesus accept our worship, or is there something He would drive out?

II. Jesus Claimed Authority Over Worship ( vv. 18-22)

A. The religious leaders wanted a sign to prove His authority to do such.
B. Jesus pointed to the ultimate sign: His death and resurrection.
C. Christ is the Authority. Our worship must be centered on Him.

III. Jesus Knows The Difference Between Faith And Fascination ( vv. 23-25)

A. Many believed because they were fascinated with His miracles.
B. Jesus desires genuine faith and hearts that are surrendered to Him.
C. Are we truly trusting Christ, or are we fascinated by what He might do for us?

Jesus calls us to pure worship.

Jesus calls us to center our worship on Him.

Jesus calls us to authentic faith, full trust and surrender.
