Psalm 92:15
Psalm 92:15
“To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.”
Upright -
1st mention
Genesis 37:7
For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.
It shows the one left standing while all others bow.
Here we find in the Lord Himself three outstanding MEASURES of His character that shows He is upright.
I. The Lord Is Our Rock.
he is my rock
Stability/foundation.
Stirring/fight (David over Goliath).
Sonship/Father.
Sentry/faithful (“I am with thee alway”)
II. The Lord Is Our Righteousness.
there is no unrighteousness in him
Sinless.
Suffering.
Saving.
Serving.
III. The Lord Is Our Rapture.
Stand up.
Ephesians 6:11–13
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Show up.
Proverbs 20:6 “Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?”
Stir up.
2 Peter 3:1 “This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:”
Straight up.
Revelation 4:1 “After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.”
Conclusion:
Do you have the Lord as your God?
Is Jesus your Saviour?
