The God That Speaks
God’s grace that He has given to us His revelation
V 1 -2
through the prophets, the saints of the Old Testament, and finally through Jesus
His word to us starts with in the beginning
before time began
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
God the Father Through God the Son spoke the creation into being
this creation was was made of nothing
By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
out of nothing except
And the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
By the word of Yahweh the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.
on day 1 light was brought to this water wasteland
Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
what is this light that separates the calamity of darkness from the peace from the light
That they may know from the rising to the setting of the sun That there is no one besides Me. I am Yahweh, and there is no other,
The One forming light and creating darkness, Producing peace and creating calamity; I am Yahweh who does all these.
Jesus is the light of the world
Jesus is this light on day one
He brings light to this darkness
Jesus also brings the light of life
For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
so, why are we concentrating so much on the light?
we are looking at the
Radiance of His Glory

V 2-3
when I buy a light bulb I want to know the color of the bulb and how many lumens its putting out
how bright is it?
the glory glory = the lumens of light Jesus puts out is the same as the Father
the brightness of Jesus is not diminished from what the Father puts out
Jesus does not reflect the brightness of the Father
but He radiates His own brightness
Now it happened some eight days after these words, that taking along Peter and John and James, He went up on the mountain to pray.
And it happened that while He was praying, the appearance of His face became different, and His clothing became white and gleaming.
And behold, two men were talking with Him, and they were Moses and Elijah,
who, appearing in glory, were speaking of His departure which He was about to fulfill at Jerusalem.
Now Peter and his companions had been overcome with sleep, but when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men standing with Him.
The Glory of the radiance was seen by those on the mountain
and again seen by John when he saw the vision in Heaven
and in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash.
And His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire.
His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters,
and having in His right hand seven stars, and a sharp two-edged sword which comes out of His mouth, and His face was like the sun shining in its power.
and in eternity the glory of God will illuminate the heaven and earth
And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
And the nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.
This Glory of Jesus is from the beginning for eternity
it does not come from the Father but just as the Father is so is the Son
V 3 exact representation of the Father
a coin is made in the exact representation of each other
Jesus told Thomas if you have seen me you have seen the Father
The Father is eternal, the son is Eternal
the Father is almighty, the Son is almighty
the Father is uncreated, the Son is uncreated
so if God the Father and God the Son are equal in every way why is the Father over the Son?
why is the Holy Spirit under the Father and the Son?
this is the hierarchy that has been from eternity
Jesus puts Himself under the leadership of the Father
He submits himself to the Father
there are the different roles the father and son have
Just like in the home the wife is equal to the husband in God’s eyes
but the wife is to put herself under the submission of the husband
and in the judgement the husband will be judged about family matters
but getting back to Jesus
He is 100% God
He holds everything together

a purposeful control over all of creation
without Jesus holding every molecule together this universe would denigrate instantly
Jesus also is coriagrafing events in this universe
Jesus predestines and brings to pass everything
Jesus is the potter creation is the clay
For in Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.
And He is before all things, And in Him all things hold together.
HE keeps everything to its own properties
water animals grass trees
without an active part on Jesus holding the creation together we would cease
And this creator sustainer became the
Redeemer
Redeemer
God the Father through God the Son spoke our universe into existence
God the Son, Jesus through His blood has cleansed our sin.
“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says Yahweh, “Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.
Jesus is the only one who can cause someone to be pure

Are you washed in the blood,
In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless?
Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
And I said to him, “My lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Jesus accomplished this because he became fully human except for our sin nature
he lived a sinless life and had himself executed by the hands of sinful people
He cleansed us from our sin by taking the wrath of God upon himself
Jesus then gave to us His righteousness so that we could stand before a Holy Holy Holy God and be declared not Guilty
Jesus is the exact representation of the Father
Jesus has the radiance of Glory coming from Him that will be all the nessasary light that Heaven and earth will need in eternity
All of creation is being held together by His power
not sure what problems you are facing today
you can trust in the great Shepherd to take care of you
you can trust in His Holy Spirit to guide and comfort you through this life
God did not just create this world and sit back and see what happens
He created, holds it together, and redeemed a people for Himself
