Joshua 3:5 KJV 1900
5 And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the Lord will do wonders among you.
(Additional Translation – AMP)
“Then Joshua said to the people, ‘Sanctify yourselves [for His purpose], for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders (miracles) among you.’”

Series Conclusion Introduction

In Session 1, we learned about the Time of Separation—how God allows wheat and tares to grow together until the harvest.
In Session 2, we discovered the distinguishing characteristics of The True Remnant—those who lean on the Lord, obey His commands, and hold fast the testimony of Jesus.
Tonight, we end this powerful series with a personal call to action:
🔥 Consecration is not optional—it is essential.
God is preparing His remnant not just to survive the shaking, but to be the vessels He uses in the next wave of His glory. The call now is to consecrate ourselves—to set ourselves apart, to empty ourselves of what defiles, and to make room for what sanctifies.

Key Word Study

Sanctify (Hebrew: קָדַשׁ – qadash, Strong’s H6942): to consecrate, purify, prepare, dedicate for sacred purpose.
Consecration (Latin root: con-secrāre): to make or declare sacred; to devote wholly to divine service.
Holiness (Greek: ἁγιότης – hagiotēs, Strong’s G41): purity from defilement, separated for divine use.
Main Points

1. Consecration Prepares You for God’s Glory

Scripture: Joshua 3:5
Explanation: Israel was about to cross into the Promised Land—but before the miracle came the command: “Sanctify yourselves.”
Insight: God never pours His glory into a vessel that is full of mixture. He always prepares the people before He performs the wonder.
Application: What miracle is being delayed because the preparation hasn’t been made? Consecration makes you ready for divine assignments.
🔥 God is willing to move—but He’s waiting for the vessel to be cleansed.

2. Holiness is a Requirement, Not a Suggestion

Scripture: Hebrews 12:14 – “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”
Explanation: Holiness is not religious legalism. It’s not about dressing a certain way or talking a certain way—it’s about being set apart unto the Lord.
Warning: Without holiness, you may go to church—but you will not see God’s presence or power.
Application: Consecration is not just abstaining from sin—it’s pursuing God with abandon.
⚠️ We’ve traded sanctification for sensation, and holiness for hype. But the remnant walks in truth and purity.

3. Consecration Means Becoming a Living Sacrifice

Scripture: Romans 12:1–2
“Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
Explanation: In the Old Covenant, a sacrifice was laid on the altar and consumed by fire. In the New Covenant, you are the altar, and your life is the sacrifice.
Strong’s Insight: “Reasonable service” is logikē latreia—a spiritual act of worship. Consecration is not just obedience—it is worship.
Application: Don’t wait until Sunday to give yourself to God. Lay yourself on the altar daily. Say, “Here I am, Lord—consume all of me.”
🙌 When you burn for God in secret, His glory will rest on you in public.

Application

This is not just a lesson—it’s a decision point.
You’ve been separated. You’ve been marked. You’ve been identified as part of the remnant. Now the question is:
Will you consecrate yourself so God can use you?
Ask yourself:
What distractions need to go?
What secret sins need to be surrendered?
What areas of my life have I kept off the altar?
Pray like David:
“Search me, O God… see if there be any wicked way in me…” (Psalm 139:23–24)

Prophetic Insight / Call to Action

🔥 The Lord says, “I am preparing a people who will carry My glory, walk in My truth, and not be seduced by the spirit of this age. I am calling My remnant to the altar—not for show, but for fire.”
The next move of God will not be televised. It will not be branded. It will be birthed in the secret place.
Consecration is the doorway to revival.
You will either be a spectator or a carrier—but you cannot be both.
God doesn’t anoint the casual—He anoints the consecrated.
Closing Quote
“We want revival but not repentance. We want the fire of God without the sacrifice. But God’s fire still falls where it always has—on the altar.”— Leonard Ravenhill
