Individual Silent Prayer

Psalm 47:1–9 KJV 1900
1 O clap your hands, all ye people; Shout unto God with the voice of triumph. 2 For the Lord most high is terrible; He is a great King over all the earth. 3 He shall subdue the people under us, And the nations under our feet. 4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, The excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah. 5 God is gone up with a shout, The Lord with the sound of a trumpet. 6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: Sing praises unto our King, sing praises. 7 For God is the King of all the earth: Sing ye praises with understanding. 8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. 9 The princes of the people are gathered together, Even the people of the God of Abraham: For the shields of the earth belong unto God: He is greatly exalted.

O Worship the King

1 O worship the King all-glorious above, O gratefully sing his power and his love: our shield and defender, the Ancient of Days, pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise.
2 O tell of his might and sing of his grace, whose robe is the light, whose canopy space. His chariots of wrath the deep thunderclouds form, and dark is his path on the wings of the storm.
3 Your bountiful care, what tongue can recite? It breathes in the air, it shines in the light; it streams from the hills, it descends to the plain, and sweetly distills in the dew and the rain.
4 Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail, in you do we trust, nor find you to fail. Your mercies, how tender, how firm to the end, our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend!
5 O measureless Might, unchangeable Love, whom angels delight to worship above! Your ransomed creation, with glory ablaze, in true adoration shall sing to your praise!
